Bose Knives

I'll tell you what John, they are sharp as hell (as I'm sure you know). I've found them to be pretty good whittlers.

T thinks "out of the box" and sometimes tests his knives in unusual ways. For instance...he thought, why cut paper like everybody else? He's certain an ordinary man would have cried like a little girl.

That isn't hard to do with a Bose knife. All you gotta do is get a little stupid. I have been there and done that.

Not a pleasant location for a slice:eek:. But a good location for a test though! Look at all that callous!:p

Ken E. tests his knifes the same way !

He even sent me a photo to keep with my new swayback.

Maybe he'll post it for you guys. :p

Campbell, that is great. Is that the knife you got at Blade ?
Unless I can pre view it,I don't really give stag much thought on an ordered knife, unless from Wilfred,or Kerry perhaps
But I will say,the knives of Mike Z in Elliotts custom slipjoint thread, recently posted by Gus & others, were really, really nice,& great stag.

I'm not saying that other makers (slipjoints)can't make great knives with stag scales, but Tony & Reese are hard to come close to & this is nothing that has not been said before
Thanks for taking the time & adding that one Campbell,
-Vince

Yea, I got that one from Mike Z. I've been showing makers pictures of the knife to give them an idea of what I am looking for in stag with the knives they are making me.

You are tooooooo kind, Vince.:cool: The stag on CNasty's knife is THE BOMB! Good stag turns a great knife into an amazing knife, IMHO!

KDawg, quit being modest. IMHO, good stag changes one of your knives from an amazing knife to a super duper amazing knife. :)

I think the only other stag I have seen that I like as much as this one is the stag on Elliot's BP by Tony. It's rockin cool.

:thumbup:Thanks, Campbell. I was thinkin' that they'd make a pretty nice matched pair.

(Too bad my (current) camera isn't capable of doing it justice. But I should have something better by year's end.)

Oh yea...that's what I'm talking about. If you can believe it, I'm fiddling with mine right now while at the same time being jealous of yours :)

As far as cameras go, I'm not sure I will ever get a super-bad setup, but I bought a Sony Cybershot several months ago for relatively cheap (I think around $125 or $150) and it takes really, really good close ups IMHO.

That's about as high end as I'm going, Campbell, but my current camera is an Olympus 1.3 megapixel I've had for years.

Shoot fellas, it's a veritable stagfest!! Nice pics all around. Thanks for sharing.

Elliott, you've taken some real nice photos with that 1.3 megapixel, if you move up to a 3.2 megapixel, you'll be on the cover of Rolling Stone in no time. :D

Thanks, Ford. I'm thinking of going to 8 mp but by the time I get it the new standard will probably be 500 mp. ;)
