Bose Knives

What he said. If I used any other words it would detract from that beauty.
Where is that lamp gotta get it warmed up for Blade '09.

Cool thing is that "I win" ;) if any of us gets drawn. (If ya know what I mean by that.)

I was a dancin' and singin' in my office when Kent told me he had that puppy.

I can not wait to see you folks, knives aside.

Amazing knife.

Yes,and the blades are so cool.I see Tony continues to hit those great chunks of Ivory, too
Unmatched ,right there  Beautiful precision Tony
Kerry,Thanks for the photo work and posting in this great thread

That is amazing! How much extra work goes into a complex folder like that? I can't even imagine...

You can figure about 3 working days from start to finish on a single blade knife with bolsters and bone or stag(micarta is quicker...shadow even quicker). Change that to ivory and add about 4 hours of polishing. I'm going to guess about 7-10 hours for each blade that would be added. I think Tony worked on that knife for at least 10 days. I'm certain an ordinary man couldn't have done that. :D...

...and yer welcome Vince :thumbup::)

Jeez... I don't even care for five blade trappers, but that's just amazing. My jaw dropped.

James

James,That's a 5 blade stockman
That knife is like the trophy of the undisputed World Champion of custom slipjoint makers right there :thumbup::thumbup:

Kerry,
Fantastic Photos of Tony's new 5 blader! WOW! I would need a whole tin of BandAids, if I were to carry that! :D

I like the diagonal caps, and then the swedge work , "to make it all fit togeather" Again..WOW! Is there anyone here who Doesn't like Ivory??

Just amazing!

Just in case someone might think the Old Dog was loosing his touch for the dramatic, he goes and does something like this. Personally, I think Tony must be in cahoots with these guys because this is one hefty load of buttery goodness to be carrying around in ones pocket(as if this guy will ever see one second of pocket time ;) ).

I've CEd and CFd a few of these Bose 5-blade stockman now and always marvel at how incredibly difficult they are to make, let alone MAKE WELL! This is just plain showin off now! :D

YOU DA MAN, TONY!!!! Thanks for the looksee, Kerry!
You Guys made my day with this BEAUTY!!!!

I am a fan of multiblades, and 5 is just about the right multi.

And that one is decked out like the queen of the rodeo. Absolutely stunning.

OK, the day has gone by, and I have loaded up on medications, so I can now look at that knife without risking serious cardiovascular damage.

Nope, there are some things that the meds can't help.

That is a fine knife, that takes skill to make that few posses, and none as good as T. Bose. This is my opinion of the knife it will probably PO people, but if you don't want peoples opinion please say you don't in the OP.

The pattern and material choices are great.. The outside finish is good, from the photos the inside needs to be more polished to a Mirror finish, the blade tang edges need to be polished to a mirror finish. The bomb shield ruins the knife for me, it just doesn't belong on that Ivory scale covered knife pattern. A bar shield either straight or curved in the middle of the knife, would be more in order....

These opinions are mine and not meant to offend any one in any manner....

Thanks,

I am not PO'd or offended by any means, but just wanted to impart something my now deceased Mom taught me all my life. If I could not say something nice about someone (or their work) I should not say anything at all. Many knives come up on BF, the ones I like, I comment, the ones I don't, I say nothing. UNLESS OP ASKED for opinions. Just my opinion though.

D.,I think if Tony spent as much time as he did on this knife, and, with his background & skill abilities, etc.,I think he did it,the way he did it,and wanted it to do it that way,and that's the way it is on that knife.
I have not seen too many others (just like it) to compare it to,but the knife, basically is the end result of everything he decided to do on it,ei,managed the build by him.
You have the right to express your opinion,it's all good.
My opinion is,I see a lot of recently made knives in pictures Looking at a few 4 bladers from other reputeable makers, they may do a few things differently, right or wrong,I dunno.
BUT,none come close to that The blades alone, blow the others I see out of the water IMO,Tony & Reese are the leaders in these multi bladers ,three blades & up

I believe that I read that Tony grinds tang edges to 400 or so as this holds a small amount of oil for proper lube of parts. A mirror polish holds none and you have more steel to steel wear.
