Bose Knives

Elliot, I visited in 2003! Montemaggiore is my grandfather's hometown, about 30k south of Termini Imerese which is in the next gulf east of Palermo. I too met a bunch of cousins.
I didn't like Palermo much, but the hill towns and people were fantastic!
I know people connected with Enna. What are the family names from there??

Nonno (Grandpa) Giuseppe's knife, with a barlow for perspective! I know this is a Bose thread, but I also know Tony will appreciate this handmade knife from over 100 years ago!

waynorth, that is a fascinating piece. Is the handle designed to suggest a gondola? Is it olivewood?

Oh the tales it might tell.

Charlie,

Our Enna clan are actually from the "Province of Enna" from the hill town of Gagliano Castelferrato which is northeast by about 25 miles or so.
The surnames from there are Pietroso and Baldi.

My own clan from Cinisi are Mazzola's.

I think we better take this to email or PM's for any further followup.

OK Kerry..that will be $2 ea for all who see this pic..and $100 to remove it...You guys just bring out the best in me...

Honestly, I can't tell if that is a foot or a hand. I'll take your word for it but I'm afraid you're going to have to help pay my analyst bill. I need counseling after seeing that. :barf: :D

That said, I believe that you should at least get a handle or nickname for this little stunt. Like KnifeHead........uh........how bout BladeFoot. Its wayyyyy better than ManCans :)

Wow,

Awesome knives and a great sense of humor here in this thread.

As I cannot afford a Bose just yet, I've printed a couple of images from this thread, and have been carrying those around.

It's just not the same. And the paper images just don't cut very well.

A legit Bose question though. Anybody here pick up the T.Bose/ Case collab. Cotton Sampler? I haven't seen a pic yet, and that is one of those knives that piqued my interest.

Ed,

What a great thread! We can go from toe knives, to places in Italy, to surgery, all in a few seconds. Then you bring us back to earth with a Great pict of a Muskrat Bullet. I really like that Rem bone. How does it fit in your pocket? And..if it doesn't fit, I have a pocket that it would fit "just right in"! :D

That's a sweet one, Ed. Hold that for our next trade!

Riad,

I agree, that is a fantastic looking knife. Bet it's solid and comfortable in your hand, but that goes without saying.

Elliott, I think FastEddie needs to branch out with his trading partners.
