Bose Knives

Wow! That one is just begging to be used!

G10 is the most stable of the man-made handle materials. Even more so than micarta. It's about indestructible! And, it won't shrink in the desert where it gets over 115 degrees with 5% humidity.

If only I knew someone who lived in such a climate. :D

Are you the lucky guy Bill?

I don't want to pass as a bore or as repetitive or as a crazed groupie or as a brown nose or who knows what. I respect y'all and appreciate being here too much for not caring about my status in this community, honestly.

Having said that, I want y'all to know that I live in the tropics and I have ample opportunity to use knives a lot. For instance, on Monday I had to skin one deer, and on Tuesday I had to skin eight. Please don't take it wrongly, they are more than plentiful in the area and it's all legal.

Anyhow, I had four knives to do the job. One D-2 drop point made by Reese Bose, my trusty Backpocket made by Mr. Tony Bose, and two other knives: one a D-2 from a famed maker, the other another custom knife in what I think might be ATS-34. I had nothing to sharpen the knives with so they had to do the job with the original edge.

To make it short, I really have no words to explain how far superior was the performance of the Bose knives. They don't cease to amaze me. Those knives are simply way, way superior in edge retention and plain ease of use than any other knife I've ever used. To each his own, but I have used hard and extensively very many knives throughout the past forty or more years and I have never run into a knife that comes even close to a Bose knife.

There, I said it. Kill me now if you wish.

A quote from Panama: "To make it short, I really have no words to explain how far superior was the performance of the Bose knives. They don't cease to amaze me. Those knives are simply way, way superior in edge retention and plain ease of use"
I'm an outsider here because looking at pictures is as close as i've ever come to a Bose knife. They are hard to come by unless you've bought from Tony before or are willing to pay inflated dealer prices. The idea of a dealer making nearly as much money as the maker turns me off as it doesn't seem fair to the maker.
The above description is an experience that i hope i one day get to enjoy.
Until then, i'll keep admiring the pictures.

Thanks for the first-hand working knowledge!

Now, if you can figure out a way to ship some venison up here, lmk! Coyote doesn't taste that great. But the rattlers do taste like chicken!

Deer = venison.
Pig = pork.
Sheep = lamb

You don't see too many knives done in 440V either. Seems to be a lot more in S30V or S90V. Beautiful knife.

That knife has class all over the place. One of the nicest I've seen, but I reckon I like them all coming from Wilfred Works. But that one... Oh, my...!
