Wow:eek: you guys really woke this thread up with style. Great knives and pics fellas.:cool:

Here's somethin you don't see everyday, a 4" R. Bose Cattaraugus Slim Trapper w/Swinguard. This is Reese's first one of these with a swinguard. Beautiful brown bone jigged and dyed by Reese. Stamped "0". These images were shot with the knife laying on the Cattaraugus Cut. Co. catalog(reproduction) with the original pattern, 11709G, in view.

If you think about it, making slip joints with swinguards creates another degree of difficulty and creates more of a potential for error. There's nothing easy about making these work right;):cool:

Here is an older image(by Coop)of the same knife pattern that Tony made some years ago.

Tony's favorite pattern is the trapper. He decided one day that the spey blade wasn't that useful for what used a knife for(mostly cleaning squirrels at the time) so he ground it down into a Wharncliffe blade and the Wharncliffe trapper was born.

This one sports some awesome looking stag, ATS-34 blades and springs, and the typical Bose fit and finish in stainless liners, bolsters, and shield.

Nice one. Gotta be a hard one to make.

The Wharncliff trapper has to be the best all around knife in my opinion. Keep em coming Kerry.

Kerry,That is a really sleek knife,to look at on a Sunday evening
A masterpiece, All of them

Thank You,
-Vince

Great pics, Kerry. My first few Boses were wharncliffe trappers, and a stag 440V version by Tony is still one of my most often carried knives.

I agree. For me it's hard to choose between that knife and the swayback jack.

I wish I had more to post but I have shot my wad for the night. :D

Man, those are nice. Great pictures too. I can see how the wharnie trapper would be perfect for all around use. Thanks for posting those.

My Grail Pattern from Tony..Can't believe I aint tracked one down yet...

Kerry,

Your right! We had a minor "Drought" on this thread..and then Wham! We get many great shots. Sort of mirrors life! Everytime I see the picts, I think.."Man, that one will have to go on my want list too"!

You've got that new camera dialed in, Kerry. Great shots of an awesome knife. That bone looks good in your sharp pictures.

I don't think I have any trappers. But if I could get just one - I'd want a Bose wharncliffe trapper! OMG those are beutiful knives!
