That BP is exquisite. I could definitely find a place for that one in the collection.

Maybe it's just me, but it's a little more difficult to sharpen these recurve blades. Most of the time I used my big/wide stones and it's hard to get to the curve with them. The BP I picked up last month is the first folder that's given me trouble...even though the recurve is slight. All my other knives with this feature are larger fixed blades. Guess it's just gonna take some practice. Think I'll have to bring out the ole Sharpmaker and use the edges as opposed to the flats.

Not just you. I also have trouble sharpening the recurves on folders. The recurve on a khukuri is one thing, the recurve on a pocket knife is a whole 'nother level of PITA. The trick I've learned is to never let the knife get too dull so that you can use the corners of the Sharpmaker's stones to keep it sharp.

I can see where an ordinary man might have trouble sharpening a slight recurve. ;)

Do you want some cheese with that whine Nasty?? Hmmmm?

I don't know what's so hard about it, I taught my 5 year old grand daughter to do it. I hand her the knife and say " Here Hannah, sharpen this for me so I can ship it." and she says "OK Pap"

I'll have some cheese if I get one of your slipjoints to cut it with! :D

I really like that backpocket folder, the stag used really compliments a knife like that (and of course the blades profile is flawless). I need to get to Blade one year so I can see some of these in person, pictures only do so much.

I sure wouldn't want to see the utter emotional breakdown by, oh...I'll just pick a random group, let's say Nashville, TN lawyers, if'n they had to sharpen this one :p

The stag came from an old carver so it's no telling how old it is. In any case, it looks great on this knife. The 154CM blade has a very thin edge for effortless cutting of flower stems or your occasional stogy. Boy!...Hanna sure got it sharp! :D

(hehehe....Campbell, your timing is amazing...THANK YOU! :D )

This thread gets even better!!! I work with bonsai and decorative trees to calm myself after the busy week and recurves and hawkbills are perfect for that.

I know 2 people who are getting laxatives put in their Bourbon in Atlanta this year...ones a smelly old dawg and the other is balding!!! ;)

I'll say this though....the knife is a hellofa lot sharper than it was when I got it from that New York fella ;)

I prefer prunes and, for your information Mister CNasty, THIS is not balding, it's a hair style. :D

You ROCK, Hannah!
Us Girls like a SHARP recurve! ;)
Kiss and Hug Our Pirates of Wilfred for me, Sweetie!;)

As we have come to expect, 2 stunning knives ! (seems to me that there is stag......and then there is BOSE stag !!)

Colin.

Oh good grief. I've been gardened again. That is a beauty! I will go stand by the mailbox with my fingers and legs crossed and my head gently bowed. It can't hurt to hope.
