Bose Knives

So, if Imus were here to summarize this particular conundrum for us it would read something like this...

Bose, not ho's... :D ;)

Kerry, if you had handled her----I mean it, you would understand.
:D

...and if I handled JA, I'd probably be dead.:D It's a safe bet that this theory will never be tested.

I have handled some nice knives of Tony's and Reese's but never quite get "that tingly feeling". Maybe I need counseling. :o

Not mine, but some of you may be able to guess the who the owner is since I think it was posted on another forum. (posted here with his permission)

Same pattern as Greg's. Bone was jigged and dyed by Reese and I'm told it is the only single blade model of that pattern made to date. It is 5 3/8" in the closed position.

I'm off to go have a smoke now, and I don't even smoke.

Mike I want to marry that knife..
Here is one that used to ride in the Old Dog's Pocket..trying to convince the present owner to let it ride in mine!

Wow,RAN,What is the closed size of that knife.Oh man......

Those Wharncliffe trappers really speak to me. Someday .......

where you all finding these knives? I've googled and searched but keep coming up empty...

I like this handle style,on the Trapper.I've asked Reese to do this on my #6 on order. It is a little different than the reg. #6 (I think ,Tony ?? )

You have to wait until JT gets one then decides to sell it. Usually doesnt take too long. tee hee.

Looking at 92's pics is like a walk down memory lane. Either JT or I owned all of those at one time or another. Ah, the good old days... 2 years ago. Some of those are worth double what we were exchanging them for. What an idiot I was for letting that napanock bone WT go. Napanock bone is every bit as nice and unique as remington bone imho.

Re: the pearl 5 blade. I'd never carry a 5 blade and I would never carry a pearl handled knife of any kind. You must mean a different Ed. I own one pearl knife. Tony's 4 blade congress serial #1. Even if it were made out of rubber I still wouldn't dare carry it!

Fasteddie, I did mean Shaldag-Ed, the current owner of that knife.

Sounds like you guys were passing some great knives around to each other. I think I came to the game a little late.

Man its hard enough to get a Bose without the frenzy this thread will start...
but its a crime not to share the beauty

Gen. George S. Patton said:
Only a pimp in a New Orleans whorehouse or a tin-horn gambler would carry a pearl-handled......

I couldn't resist juxtaposing those two quotes whan I read fasteddie's remark.

:D

Thank's lambertiana, and Sharp NJ . I just gotta add something about the "budget".
For a long time,I had heard, and knew of,the fact, that everyone raved of Tony and Reese' work.
I was offered a few Bose knives over the years,at pricetags that I wish I could have got that Lanny's at,but at the time,I could or would not "work it into my budget"
I have to thank my wife, for changing my mind.I saw her one evening, scrubbing a pot in the sink, with her wedding set on her ring finger
I paid a little over 4 times what I paid for my Lanny's,for her "user",so my "user",is a bargain.
It helped put everything in perspective.
-Vince :)
Vince, I like your perspective but I doubt that my wife would.:(

SharpNJ,
Ask her to sell a pair of HER custom made earings,on Ebay,'cause you fell short of pocket cash for the month.
This perspective worked for me,4 Sure.
-Vince

Tony requested that I post a picture of this 4.0" closed Case 6380 pattern whittler. To date only four of these have been made.
