Bose Knives

Never had a "Grail Knife" until I saw this Saddlehorn in a Backpocket frame. Thanks for posting...I think! :)

A few weeks ago my son Jason a I spent a few days with Tony. The primary objective was to reblade this vintage Remington 1306. Everything is original except the new blade ( A-2) and by the way, it does have a bushing. Thank you Tony for the great time and my new dailey carry knife. What a great learning experience! Jason loves his as well. See you at the Blade Show.

David,

Great looking 1306, Tony is a wonderful individual always willing to share his knowledge in the pursuit of keeping traditional knives alive.

Keep thawed out in Minnesota and pray for warmer weather!

Very nice. Is this the original back pocket? It looks like this knife has some serration on the back of the blade.

It is not obvious to me how you put a new blade on an old knife. I am glad Mr. B knows the secrets. Do you have any work in process pics? In particular, how do you get it apart? Once you get it apart, what do you replace? How hard is it to fit the new blade? What is involved in putting it back together? It looks like a real project requiring serious skills. I guess you went to the right place.

With the challenge at hand, for that project, who actually would hold the title Dr. T ?

As with many things, there is an "art and science " to knifemaking. Tony is unquestionably the master.

No Doubt Dr.T I was having fun with my dry humor. After seeing the postings of the rebuilt Remingtons , I thought to myself,if the Wilfred Works was an Old Knife Hospital, one might hear over the loudspeaker,
" Paging Dr.T , Paging Dr. T , you are requested in the O.R. by the Old Dog " Don't mind me I'm just having fun. Those knives, all of 'em in this thread, are spectacular!

Here is a knife I own , re handled by Tony edit in actually Tony hafted it,the blade never had a handle

That is a real dandy. Actually I just talked to Larry the other day and ordered some sheaths from him. He does excellent work.

Some fine Wilfred Work!!

A Congressional record for Fine knifeliness!!

Nice work, Reese!!

Eureka!! Reese has found the key to true Cutlery Classiness!
Is there no end to the wonders of Wilfred??

I hope not!!

We are truly blessed to share in the talent, if only by getting a peek, at what human determination and skill can produce.
Reese once gave me a hint at how long and hard he worked to develop his skills. I seem to recall mention of a substantial box full of parts that didn't quite make the "cut"!
Congratulations on what you have achieved, Reese!
