Bose Knives

Randy,That is a real nice Bose accessory!
Lemme ask, anyone ? were these dreamed up or invented because the spring snap was strong on knives of the time,or,for fingernail -less user convenience,or both ??

Also,while I'm asking away,Randy,how far are you,drive time,from the works ?
If I were there, they'd probably either have to put me to work sweeping or something,or,get a restraint order put on me,lol...

Kerry the website is a most frequented internet stop for me,great job.

Nice one Randy. If you go back and look at some of the other pulls that have been posted, you'll see that there isn't a lanyard or keyring hole in some of them. This one will be nice to attach to something so you can find that puppy.

I liked the pic of the Stag KPulls you posted a while back..They looked like Pecans  This one came with about 12' of para-cord on it..just kidding Tony..it had a nice lanyard from some cord I gave Tony..But I took it off for the pic. Thanks again Tony..

The way I understand the history of knife pulls....they were made so that people with bad or no fingernails could easily pull the blades. Many of the old knife companies made them. Remington made one that was fashioned after the bullet shield. They come in all kinds of shapes and sizes, simple to fancy like the ones Tony makes.

I guess, people who are really into collecting fine old pocket knives, probably have a few antique pulls, too (hint).

Well,I'll tell ya,I'm all over the place with collecting knives. But one thing I always try to keep in mind for the "collection" theme, and that is,I like knives that I can carry & use.I've had a few real pretty fileworked pocket knives, never carried them,so,they were relocated.
Recently, though,I have found a unique spot ,the Case Bose knives.I currently have the muskrat, the dog leg,the new swinguard, and, last night,I was able to connect,on a lockback whittler.I had one of those a ways back and traded it,bad move, you'll have that.I've been trying to get one, again, had all kinds of situations go down on Ebay, but then a BF's member listed one last night, there it was,it was meant to be.Now,let's hope the USPS comes through,in the holiday rush

The swinguard, now that's another story.I guess,at this current time,it could be classified as my "wall hanger",I doubt you'd catch me carrying that one.But it is a marvelous peice of work.
I showed it to my Son & told him,in the days of old, guys carried knives like that.He really didn't reply much, but his lower jaw was hangin' down a bit
I guess he was either confused as to why I would want a knife like that,or impressed with it.It was pretty funny to see, though.

Does anyone have any info,on anyone in history/knife history, that carried one of those? Or was famous,or noted for toting a big pocketrknife like that?

Sorry for the rambling, but I'd like to add one more ramble. There is nothing as close to pocket knife perfection as a Tony or Reese Bose warncliffe trapper.

Very nice work on the website Kerry! Thanks for posting all the good pictures. Have you ever considered putting together a book of your Bose pictures?

4 inch backpocket in stag by Reese. 440V blade. Lanyard is made of Vietnam war surplus paracord. Thought you might like to see it.

Hey Randy. Here's your answer on knots for lanyards. They're Matthew Walker knots.
