Bose Knives

Another Masterpiece!! I just noticed something the front Scale pin is placed at the bottom rather than the middle on the Bose/Case Collab.

...yea and why do you think that is? AND the shield isn't centered on the Case. Which one do you think looks better? :D

Damn You Vince..DAMN YOU!!...er Nice pickup a Beauty!
That Lockback is un-real un bleepin Real

Back to what dpzer noticed with these Case/Bose Collab whittlers....

The prototype by Tony sent to Case most likely had the small handle pins near the bolsters in the center of the handles. Tony also centered the shield on the prototype. Here is an image of one of Tony's earlier LBWs (#1)

Here's a Case/Bose (image by J.Nugent). Case just put the pin in question where Tony had positioned it. The shield deal is a different thing. For some reason Case decided to center it based on the position of the lockback notch in the handle

Not only does the lower position of the little pin on the new LBW look better but it's in a better position to keep the handle material in place.

I posted a photo of this knife earlier on this thread (post #34).
It's an older knife that Tony made back in the 1980's and no longer makes.
It's the only Bose knife I have ever owned, and probably the only Bose knife I will ever get the chance to own. It has been a great joy to me, but due to financial setbacks I was forced to sell.

I posted the photo I took of the knife that I took with ther available light of the Waverly Hotel lobby skylight, while the knife lay on the program for Blade Show 2004. It was just a quick hand held snap, but it captured the moment.

Since I knew I wouldn't have the knife for much longer, and also because I thought I might need some additional views of the knife, I decided to take some new photos. It turns out I had a buyer for the knife before I ever got the chance to post the new photo. I thought it was a shame to let the photo go to waste, so I posted this photo after the deal was done.

I really love the way they do the swedging on thier blades.See how the pen blade is fully swedged on the side that faces the main blade ? So you can get your thumbnail on the main blades nail nick/ pull, easier.Just perfection, but a worker, too

That stag looks a lot better on that knife than it did on the steel. Can't beat a knife by Tony and a sheath by Kerry, and with that steel on the blade to boot.

Just saw the ebony cotton sampler after posting. Very nice!
