Nice.
Reminds me of a 212very nice example.
that works..or......even more of a flat spine without the clip would work well too. 4" blade super useable.
excuse the crooked lines as using a cellphone for photoediting and fingers ain't easy....but ya get the idear.....add leather washer handle

No. An eBay purchase from a woman who sold a number of interesting Buck items over a period of time. I have an unconfirmed sense the items may have been related to a one time sales rep. There were two leather handled 103's that I purchased. The age of the knives relates to the same era of the Buck Cabela's 914, Buck's first leather washer knife handle. The leather washers exactly matches the 914 handle. It would be nice if I could associate it with Buck as a prototype, or even a lunch box knife. Too bad Houser is no longer hangs out here to ask.Nice. Any idea who made it?

hmm... how do we figure this statistic??? im going with folder, although 2 of the last 3 were folders...What's the over/under on fixed or folder?
Was hoping someone had a good guess. Classic folder like a 301 or 303, even a 110 would suit me well.hmm... how do we figure this statistic??? im going with folder, although 2 of the last 3 were folders...
It'd be really funny if they brought back the Bucktool just to keep us on our toes. What's the over/under on fixed or folder?
I have one of those - never use it. Magnacut 301 with two blades or single bladeIt'd be really funny if they brought back the Bucktool just to keep us on our toes.
Is the 117 really a small 119, or is it a big 102?
The 117 is the perfect fixed blade for an avid hiker. I think that Buck should also do a special version of the 117 for the Boy Scouts.I agree it has more in common with the 119. The 102 doesn’t have a fuller but some 117’s don’t either.
The 119 and 117 are straight, the 102 has an angle to the blade.
No matter how you look at it the 117 was the missing link in the line up.
