BOTM March 2023 722 Spitfire w/ Black Cerakote Aluminum Handle, Black Cerakote S45VN Full Flat Drop Point w/ Green Spacer and Logo

I think today would be a fun day for it, but we barely crossed the half-way point for the month of March. Let's not get too worried. 😅

Remember the days when you could set the botm thread to give you alerts when someone posted, as they were likely stating it was out.
Just false alarms nowadays.
 
Pass. The Spitfire is already offered in thousands of configurations. Too expensive for what it is. I don't even have an ounce of FOMO on this one.

Edit: Also I didn't receive an email before it was posted on site. If it had been a good item and I missed out, I would have been very disappointed.
 
Wait, it has green accents. Oh. Still a big NO. [reminds me of launching Malibu Stacey with a new hat]

Edit: I actually can say I can't imagine a BOTM that would be more disappointing. I guess I had too much imagination for what it could have been. Anticlimactic is too weak of a word for how I describe this.
 
Honestly, I kind of think its a slick looking knife. The spitfire isn't really my thing, but this one doesn't look bad. As for price point and if its worth it, I have no idea since I've never looked at configuring one in the custom shop.

Also, I don't mind the break it gives my wallet too.:)

Edit... Took a look at the custom shop and the S45VN is an upgraded steel unique to this BOTM that isn't offered there. Also, the black cerakote scales are not offered either. So might be appealing to some!

There is nothing wrong with the knife, but, as I pointed out, it is offered in so many variations already, what is the excitement about yet one more variation? I don't feel it.
 
Ordered ! $15 up-charge for an S45VN blade (Compared to a 'custom' shop S35VN, G10 black - no other option on the handle for black color, which is odd because the standard issue has a black aluminum handle option). Full flat grind blade - unique to this BOTM. AND ! Green ! (Which you can also get in the custom shop, but a different color green spacer. EDIT - same color green spacer). Green ! Logo : )

Plus, I just really like the Spitfire, great EDC knife. I didn't think I would like the Spitfire until I purchased the 4th of July BOTM Spitfire. Now I am a big fan. And, my favorite drinking holidays, 4th of July and St. Paddy, Thank You Buck

yes, the s45VN steel as opposed to S35VN and the green accents, are not enough of a difference.
