bowers score of a lifetime!

If you want to go right to the horse's mouth (sorry Jim Hamm :(), otherwise there's always Amazon - note that there is hard and soft cover editions.

Mike, I looked at the table of contents of Vol. 4 and thought I would save the money, but maybe not................:( and of course, I'll have to get the hard cover to match the other three :(.

Doc

funny you say that doc.. :o i was just flipping through #4, at the last shoot i went too, and i thought the same thing...:( i'll definately end up buying it, when it comes out in paperback... i generally don't like hard covers..:o

Cool. I guess I have alot of reading to do. Thankfully, I have alot of down time at work to read:o

Thanks for the links Doc....

No! do not type! Stop mister Hand.
I tried to not say anything but I cant take it anymore.

When I saw this post I got all excited. "The Bowyers score of a life time" In my mind I had pictured a stack of straight grained knot free Osage logs, or a few hickory staves, or a bucket of clean sinew, or even a nice draw knife, Or anyone of the many materials and tools that a Bowyer like me would use. A Bowyer makes bows, an Archer shoots bows. Most Bowyers are Archers, not all Archers are Bowyers.

Its a very nice Bow and perhaps "the Archers score of a life time" Now your one of the bunch and you have to learn the language.

I would really recommend finding a archery pro shop that specialized in traditional archery I have seen some otherwise knowledgeable compound shops do some strange things to some traditional bows.

I know the differance between a bowyer, and an archer. Just worded my title wrong, and cant edit it. I realized that after submiting my thread b/c my keyboard left out the y in bowyers(it does that sometimes when the batteries are goin dead, its wireless)
I originally thought it was a lefty and I was gonna have to make a new riser, or something. So the title worked at the begining. Sorry it annoyed you so much man:o....j

Thanks for the tip. My shop has some trad stuff, but mostly compounds. I think their is one in the city though....I will check into them before I let them do anything to it!

I did not mean to come off as such an a$$.:o I do that some times. Archery has been a passion of mine for over 40 years.
You posted that the bow is, 62"
45@28
AMO 58"

If you'd like I can make you a 58" Flemish twist string in Dacron and I Have most colors. I make a lot of strings so it takes me only a few minuets. Then you need only add arrows and your shooting. My dime, I just like to see people shooting traditional equipment.

Wow man, that would rule. Thanks alot. I will pm you my address.....Thank you!

BTW I didnt take any offence at all, I respect the bowyers alot, and I would love to learn enough to make one of my own someday.

I gotta learn to make arrows first though!!!:D

That's a really nice offer and I'd really like to see it in person. Not many guys can make a bow string while performing 17/18th century dance steps. You are an inspiration!!!!!

:D

Doc

Damn, does this mean I have to make you something? :D

j-- i just scored you a dozen cedar shafts from my father in law, last night... so i can get you some arrows made...:D i also have a stringer for you..

here's a few pics of the last few dozen arrows i have made... we have a whole bunch of different color stains, fletches and nocks...
