Got mine today. I love it!

I just nearly sit that one out of the choices for my collection - but couldn't make myself feel right about it.....

You should of that popcorn stag is pretty nice !
Plus I bet after a night or so you’d be sleeping just fine :D

Waited a long time to experience this pattern in hand by ordering a stag northfield, and i really do not like the feel in hand of the squared end cap on it. The sharp corners are not comfortable. Question for those who have both a tidioute and 'unxld' version, does the 'unxld' brass end cap feel any better than the tidioute? i am hoping the chamfered edges are more comfortable.

For me there both comfortable in hand . But if I’m just fondling it and running my fingers around the end cap then yes I can feel it so it’s not a issue for me . I do think some are a little more rounded off then others but not by much .

Makes me want to go to the movies and as a matter of fact I just reserved some seats for The Nun that just came out
Just the trailer of that movie gives me nightmares!

All the stag posted looks amazing. I don't know where GEC gets their stock, but it is first rate for sure.

No doubt this run of stag has been a amazing !

Can’t wait for the movie but I think I might need a cold beverage or two to calm me down . I’m a jumper when it comes to scary movies so I’m hoping I’ll only jump half as much lol .

Sadly after boasting about GEC
mine came with a nice gouge in the blade I noticed today after wiping off the factory oil.Really supprised GEC didn’t mark this as a second. Going to request a RMA on this one .
Yup I know these things can happen on mass produced knives and unfortunately it did on this one :( really liked the stag on this one to and the walk and talk was pretty nice .

rye_a, that Gunstock is the cream of the crop. It will be some time before I retrieve mine, I can only hope it's like that one. Wow.

Wow.

I bought one from a dealer but after placing the order i realize the picture on the knife i ordered was a stock photo the dealer used. I hope mine is as preety as that killer stag.

Thats the fun about stag.

Never know what your gettting. I have to get me a second one now..

As well you should. That could be the pick of the litter. Beautiful example.

I can't imagine there being a better one from this crop. Congratulations!

Thanks all, and a special thanks to Mike for putting his customers first. I feel very lucky to have gotten my hands on this knife.

That's interesting, I've found larger sized Gunstocks from Queen to be similar in that way. Oddly enough, the 99 Wall St. is square and this doesn't bother me in the hand, but then, it is single-blade.
I like this small 3" Gunstock a lot.

I hesitated too long on the early reserve for the stag 44 ... and missed out picking out a particular one when they showed up ... but decided to tempt fate and ordered one sight unseen. It certainly isn't a "mind blower" like the one rye_a rye_a received ... but is better than what I thought I might end up with!

Thanks Paul. Sometimes we luck out! Might not have tried this with wood covers ... but, judging from much of the stag GEC has been using lately, figured it was worth the risk!

A question for those more informed than me, If you were collecting a complete set of this run of #44's, would that be six or seven knives?
was the cocobolo the only one that had two different choices in main blade? (satin or polished) I have all six handle variants, and need to
search for one more at least. Correct? all purchased thru CK great service!

Autumn Gold also came with satin blades.

Mike, is there any designation on the tube to signify satin or polished blades, or maybe on the knife etch itself?
