Brass is back on the menu... GEC #44

I wonder why the 44 stag models do not have grooved bolsters and are lacking the bottom bolster UnXld stamping. This would have been a nice extension of the other Northfield 44’s, especially since no shield on the stag 44’s.

The stag 44s I have seen on the forum and dealer websites have been top shelf, so maybe they just let the stag speak for itself?!

A brass 44 with stag would be nice.......
I’m actually looking forward to my stag without the brass for a different flavor sorta speak :)
I think if I remember correctly Mike might of addressed some of your questions from a previous poster .
But then again it could be just a illusion from too many cold beverages on this fine Labor Day of relaxation :D

I also wish that the Stag 44 bolsters had the UNXLD stamping and grooved or lined bolster . I do not agree with you though on the Brass Bolsters . I would not buy a Stag with brass bolsters . Brass liners is bad enough .

Right on my friend!! :)

I managed to get one. ☺☺

Now i want a second one.

A dealer had them today.

Boy they were gone....

They were sold out in less than minutes.

I saw two or three knives that had some of the best stag i have seen lately.

Stag is my favorite handle material.

GEC gets better and better.

I just hope to get me a second knife in gnatly stag.

Please post your stag 44

When you receive them..

A new arrival:thumbsup: I quite like this one:)

Just received my Stag 44 and it is a very well made knife .

Also received a Pin with it . Did not receive one with the Jigged Bone .
Group photos

It looks like all of the people who got Stags are not very proud of them and do not want to show them .
I know there are lots of GREAT ones out there . There were at least 15 chosen ahead of me at CK .

I just opened my stag 44 from Frank and it looks great...well worth the wait :) I got another button too so bonus. I have 5 stag gunstocks now all from different manufacturers and the Northfield stag looks the best in my opinion. Too late to get good photos tonight but will post some soon for comparison.
What I noticed though is that the secondary blade is on the shield side on the GECs and all the others it is on the pile side. It is an interesting design difference and I wonder what others think about that one way or the other? It seems having the secondary on the shield side prevents it from being pinchable if that is your thing.

Makes no difference to me as long as the Nail Nicks are accessible .

rye_a, that Gunstock is the cream of the crop. It will be some time before I retrieve mine, I can only hope it's like that one. Wow.

Well just pulled mine out of tube and oh my!!!
Thank you Gec and Mike @ Collectors knives
Gec really did I nice job on these .
Beautiful walk and talk with matching fit and finish . It has custom written all over it . I’m amazed at the quality of this knife in all areas .
I love your new card logo to Mike .
First class Sir :)
This knife looks even better in person
And it looked great in the pictures , Mike did a great job taking pictures of these Stags. I wanted a thinner one but not to thin and stag with character but not to knarley “ although I like that to sometimes lol “ . The centered blades weren’t a must but they are . The pins are seated nice and even on both sides and smooth on all transitions.
This is one Knife I will never sell and you guys and gals know me I’m constantly keeping the never ending rotation going lol. This one is staying in the family
Thanks again Mike and Gec :)
