Breaking Blade news...no BS

The BK14 is a collabaration between Becker and ESEE. the blade is from a Becker 11 and the handle is from a ESEE Izula. Hence the name Eskabar... EseeKaBar.

The BK14 has both trademarks...one side has the BK&T/KaBar stamp and one side has the ESEE stamp

Mr. Ethan is also working with ESEE to market his new line of Kitchen Knives....

I learn sumthin new every day! Thanks Thrill! Looking forward to the kitchen knives!

the kitchen knives are teh awesome. i was considering walking out with them, but Ethan would pout :)

the BK24 in D2 should be interesting to be sure. "24" seems like a really weird number. makes you wonder what 18, 19, 20, 21, 22, 23 is ;)

me? i want to see a BK14 in damasteel :)

spyderco has a puuko coming out. very nice.

the condor lineup was kick butt.

oh, that reminds me, i have MORE pictures to upload shortly... yeah. well, you'll have to wait ;)

i hope the video turned out well. short, but sweet.

I have a Camillus D2 BK-11 and am not a huge fan, but part of that is the over-thick geometry. I dropped it on concrete and it chipped - dunno if that's expected with 1095 or D2, but I was really mad at myself. I'll be curious to see if this Ka-Bar version is ground the same as the 1095's, which Ka-bar got right, geometry-wise.

Wow, I didn't know that Camillus had made a D2 version of the Necker. Was it a limited edition? I thought they had only used 0170-6C steel, their version of 1095CV. Learned something new today. How badly did it chip, and where? Tip, edge?

So this might qualify as thread Necro but I did a quick search and couldn't find any recent news on the D2 BK14(BK24?) have we heard anything or has it just gone quiet?

Nope, not gone quiet, just being made.

I should have some samples in my hand this week. I hope. Ethan's got stuff on his mind right now, so, if I don't see him sooner, I'll see him later.

Thanks for the update Moose,

I love my BK14, it's just such a great small but practical knife.
The one I have gets a lot of carry but it's starting to feel like I've sharpened it to a stump, so I'm in the market for a new one and wondered if it was worth waiting on the D2.

When these hit the street i will be getting one, my Bk14 is probably one of my most carried knives and in D2 is should be downright amazing! I cant wait!

Sounds pretty cool to me. I have been holding back on a 14 for a while and this just might be what I need to pull the trigger. Can anyone post a direct picture. I could not get anything but pictures of some kind of pie on the previously posted link. Thanks.

Are they all coming uncoated? If so, you may have swung me from "maybe" to "definitely".
