I love spear blades and decided I wanted a nice easy to carry single blade and when I saw the Barlow pattern and blade shape I knew it was perfect. Couldn't be happier win how this turned out and can't wait to put it in my pocket. Thanks Bret!

Barlows hit a soft spot with me too and that lined bolster tops it off nicely.

My new Dowell barlow showed up today and I couldn't be more thrilled. When ordered I let Bret know that if there was a choice I'd prefer a thicker blade stock as I like stout knives and he definitely delivered. While stout it's still razor sharp! It also has perfect fit and finish, closes dead center and the backspring can't even be felt in all three positions it's so flush. Love the satin finished bolsters too, I let him know I wanted a user so satin bolsters and belt grind on the blade would be ideal...to me it just looks like it's meant to be used!

I am not a Barlow fan, but I am a fan of that Barlow!
I really like the 'as ground' belt finish, and that bone color and jigging is great.

Bret makes a great knife. Even his early knives were special so I can only imagine how much better they are now. I'm grateful to have three of my own.
