I should add... UKPK is my EDC lately.

When the Caly 3 becomes available, I'm ordering two.

Basically...

Also, add dual stainless liners and substitute VG-10 for S30V.

My one wish is that the Caly 3 have Torx across the board, but it looks like pins on everything but the pivot.

The Caly3 is going to be legendary!!!!!

I have no idea though, why Spyderco would take such a perfect design, and proceed to pin it together.

Hopefully the pins are just in the prototype. None of my other Golden Spydies have them. Don't see why they would change for the Caly, just have to wait and see.

Yeah, it's just a prototype shot. I'm sure Spyderco knows the demand for non-pinned knives well enough to not use them on what is obviously going to be a huge success in the knife world.

WOW! looks quite beefy for a caly. steel liner and back spacer. i'll call this the "Micro Manix"

wait!!! no lanyard hole??? what??? is it too late to put one in????

Hmmm... either a low ride reversible wire clip or lanyard hole.... i guess the clip is gonna win everytime. oh well.

I completely agree on both points. I really wish it were all screws. I am going to get two regardless! This is as perfect as it gets for me.

Agreed. The UKPK does have torx screws. Just figured the Caly 3 would as well.

I can't wait for the new Caly 3 either. My only gripe has already been stated.... NO PINS! Screw construction is so much better IMO.

The UKPK is a much carried knife for me, then add a lock and the CalyIII should be the 3" knife I use the most. I really like the Caly blade shape, it's the most useful, in my book. Also with all that metal on the UK and Caly III it's a much heftier knife than the Gray Calypso.
Hurry, BRING IT ON!

Right on! I think we've got a new unofficial name for it!

That looks just like the UKPK with a lock. Is that what the Caly 3 is?

"Just" a UKPK with a lock?!?! If it were just a UKPK with a lock, it'd be the best knife Spyderco ever produced. But it's got some improvements on top of that. :) :)

Can't wait to grab one
