Brous Blades

I got all mine off the Exchange here and have been very happy with each one.
I bought a Mini Division and that darn seller 'forgot' to mention the horrendous lock stick in the sales thread. Oh darn, I'm sure it was an honest mistake.
Went on the Brous web site and chatted with Jason.
He told me to send it to him and he'd hook it up for me.
5 days later I had the knife back with all new hardware, an amazing edge and a carbidized lock face. He also sent a bunch of swag and wouldn't accept anything for shipping.
He was really great to deal with and that knife is literally perfect now.
I had no clue about his history when I bought the ones I have, bought my first 'real' knife July of '15, but I can only relay my experience with the knives and the company.
Also, each Brous I have is perfectly centered, has no blade movement, are among the best flippers and are very well made.

That's nice to hear Joe. Mine flip smoothly, blades are sharp and centered. And they fit well in my hand.

So let's see...Marfione, Emerson, Strider, Quartermaster, and Brous are bad to do business with by popular opinion. I gotta remember this list...

Will just once, a new guy just take some advice and do some reading:rolleyes: it usually turns into I some variant of butt hurt defense of his knife.
Sometimes I read, sometimes I don't. Sometimes I search for "knife" and end up with pages about Brazilian holidays. Sometimes I'm lucky at searching, sometimes I end up with pages about the endocrine systems of dolphins. So it varies. Sometimes I just ask. If you don't want to answer, that would be dandy. In fact, if you do want to answer, consider this exchange, and reconsider. Otherwise, it sounds like you could end up butthurt because a new guy asked a question.

Man.

I suppose everyone gets the nerves hit they lay out.

Ok... your 2 ¢ have been noted. Lol Good luck with the endocrine system of dolphins.

Ahhhh Mr. Jammer Six, if only we could all go to Brazil and use our various knives to study the endocrine systems of dolphins in a show of solidarity. Forums like this would be all the more better for it.

Nothing like Dolphins and Brazilians to bring people together! Well done Mr. Jammer Six! Well done indeed!

Shakira is Columbian and Lebanese;I have a division I bought off the exchange a few years ago, the pivot screw was stripped and there was up and down play. I called brous they sent me a new pivot; I cut a slot in the of one with a mototool got it out bent the lockbar a bit, now its perfect. It is a great flipper. If his prices weren't so insane I would consider another offering, but thay aren't worth the price.

That's a fair assessment of an experience with a knife.

Briefly owned a VR71. Had ball detent slop in closed position. Non functional pocket clip.

Wow, you lucked out. When the T4 first came out my brother got me one for Christmas. Before receiving it I reached out to Jason asking about some things. He replied very quickly. When the knife arrived I found the satin finish was horrible on mine. The finish looked like a very low cost jarbenza. Mind you Jason and I emailed several times and he always replied. The next email I asked about the finish and if it was normal, sent pics etc. 7 emails and 4 months and no response. I did have one person from the company claim they would forward the info to Jason and get me a response. That never happened. Glad to see you had better luck.

I have a SSF, Bionic 2.0, and Bionic XL. All are great knives. His D2 is amazing. Fit and finish, materials, action are all spot on. I feel the price is fair for what you get, at least what I paid for the ones I have, (All bought new). I hope he is being honest in his claims, if not I wouldn't buy another based on dishonesty but the knives are great. There are a few more I'd like but no lefty option so oh well.

That sucks Purp!! Would've pissed me off big time!!
In regards to the T4, mine is an amazing flipper, but I hate the scales.....really rough. Spoke to S Ketchen and he's gonna hook that bad boy up!
Joe

I had a t4 great knife strong flipper the pocket clip was very tight needed to be bent out slightly...

Yes... the pocket clip on my Exo was very tight, bent it out too. The Parallax clip is as good as they come. The Parallax is also one of the smoothest flippers I own.

Well that's not good. Did Brous ever resolve it? Sorry to hear that.
