Brownie Popping a Knife?

Truth be known I've been under the impression that Brownie's been so inundated with requests, it might be nicer not to add to his "inbox" pile. If dropping an email is still preferred I'd be glad to do that also, or even manage without the bit of knowledge. No intention of becoming a PITA to anyone, merely satiate curiousity.

Sorry if I urinated in your cornflakes there J-Man...

Alright, I'm more than a bit curious at this point...

Would be very interested in hearing about an opening method that's as quick as this one is claimed to be for tip down knives.

I've tried the Brownie Pop with both tip-up and tip-down knives. Seems to work well for both.

ah, heck...if it's "ambidextrous" between tip up and tip down knives, so much the better. (I'm currently kinda like one of them "wave-aholic" types, and would be interested in methods to veer from waves, zip ties, etc.)

Hey Brownie,

Is there a reason you don't post it here, leave it for three days or a week, tell everybody not to quote it in any following messages, and then edit it out? I don't think any BG types would see it if you only left it up for three days.

I got the email this afternoon. I can vouch for this method working, I've been using it for over 2 years and I never realized it was anything special!

When I got my first pocket knife (not a slipjoint or multitool) I just started screwing around trying to figure out the best way to open it and came up with this. I thought this was how everyone did it! Guess it paid for once not having any friends into knives, as they would have led me down the wrong path :p

I'm going to send a request too. I'm not confident of my fast opening method should I be under stress. It'd be nice to know a more surefire way to open a knife fast. Email incoming Brownie.

JamesA:

Once introduced to never never land of interspace it can be sent around the world in a few minutes, from there it can be diceminated to other less savory types in days.

No go. I'm ex LE and will continue to protect them against running into this when possible.

Let me emphsaize the importance of a firm grip on the handle, I threw my Millie about 10 feet behind me while practicing this walking around my back yard. Not to worry, it landed in the grass on the spine, no damage.

Thanks Brownie, My Camillus EDC Pop's great. The first four or five times I mis-fired but since has been very reliable. Hopefully I would never need the EDC for SD but the pop should help me with a bit of a psych advantage if pressed into service.

Thanks!

Brownie also did a review of the EDC at www.folders-r-us.org which is very much in line with my experience with the knife.

Brownie,

I sent you mail a couple of days ago and haven't had a response. Should I resend?

Rob

Rob,
I have cleaned up all the emails in the in tray. Resend the request, you should have recieved something.

I had several come back undeliverable through yahoo accounts for some reason in the last few days.

Brownie,

I got your e-mail, and couldn't wait to get home and try it. I got it to work instantly with some knives, Duncan Mini-Whiplash and Larry Chew VooDoo knives. Others take a little more work and practice. It is a great technique - just make sure you hold on tight! Thanks.

Ken

Edited for typos

Brownie am I one of the undeliverables?

I'm going to try an setup another email adress soon!

Thanks
