Try (Address removed in vain attempt to minimize spam ;) )

I think I've figured it out. You said I was "very close", so I thought about how to do it in one direction. I could only think of one way and I think it is faster.

Hunter,

What size M16 do you have? I didn't think the smallest model would be able to be flipped. Even the spear-point seemed iffy to me.

Columbia River M16-14LE (Law Enforcement)
Specifications:
Blade: Overall length: 3.94” (10.0 cm)
Cutting edge: 3.88” (9.9 cm)
Thickness: 0.14” (0.35 cm)
Steel: AUS 8, 57-58 HRC
Handle: Closed length: 5.31” (13.5 cm)
Weight: 4.9 oz. (139 g)

This is the Big Puppy :)

Apologies in advance if this is stepping on your toes, if it is please tell me and I’ll remove the posts ASAP.

While I’ve received a mail from Brownie I’ve so far been unsuccessful in performing a ‘Brownie-pop’ (lobbed my knife across the room a few times  )
I was wondering if someone who has received the mail and mastered the technique would be able to offer a fresh perspective / description of the technique (possibly with pictures), obviously via Email.

While I’d normally shy away from potentially stepping on someone’s toes in this manner, I often find in this type of situation, another person’s description can help in matters such as this.

If you’d be willing to do so (possibly providing pictures etc) could you please email me

(if it matters, so far I've been trying it on my new Spydie Military)

Thanks

( As I say; Brownie, if any of this steps on your toes please mail me / post and I’ll remove the post).

Mindz_I: No apologies necesary, and if someone wants to meet that request, no problem with me.

I might be able to take some digitals of the steps but would need an email address to send them as attachments in the message.

If you want to try that, let me know.

BTW-- that millie is one fast knife with this, it shouldn't be a problem.

Brownie:

Thanks greatly my good man.

If you'd be willing to take photos that'd be most appreciated.

Email address; removed

If you wish I could host them for you so if anyone else is having probs you could direct them to that (private) address, rather than forwarding the images over and over ?

Either way its very much appreciated :)

Ya gotta give me to the weekend to get this done please.

I need to get some digitals of the journeyman karambit as well so I'll set up a sequence for you.

I'll be in touch.

Yup, it works. Takes a bit of practice and experimentation with each particular knife, but I had my Millie, Sere2k and LCC working effectively within minutes. My Mini Commander's blade pivot is a little tight but that's easily fixed.

Seems to be a bit less harsh on the lock than the "wrist flick", the knife doesn't really slam open as hard. Done right this is as fast as any auto, but it does take a bit of effort, and practice, to do it reliably.

Looks wicked cool too, as an added bonus - especially with a big folder like the Military.

a cool trick that never in a million years would have occurred to me!

definitely worth the trouble of an email to Brownie

No more PMs will be sent on this.

"Satin" has posted the exact text of my PM's to others on the practical tactical against my requests, and the moderator has seen fit to leave it up though I filed a complaint.

Unfortunate that it happened, however it has and he'll now face the unpleasant experience of meeting me in 10 weeks on the river.

I didn't send it to him when he requested it twice as I knew he would put this up against my requests to not post it on the open boards here.

Now that it is out, everyone and their brother apparently has had this down since God was a child. I find that amusing actually.

I appreciate all here who were emailed the technique by request and have abided by my request not to post it on the open forum.

Stay safe out there.

Brownie

but with all the interest, and I too am interested, but what keeps you from posting the information for all to read without specific 'pleases'?

and yes, an e-mail is forthcoming. thanks in advance!

It's a shame when someone can't honor a simple request I'm glad I emailed when I did and I'll respect your wishes.

Thanks.

well, that's not very civil of him/her.

i sent an email before i came across this. disregard if it is irrelecant now.

I hope you let him have it when you see him !

Had no intention of going to the Riddle, but now...

While the offender thinks it cowardly to remove the post, I think it would be taking the high road.

mindz, brownie,
first off - brownie had replied to my email with the directions. but I don't really understand them, so could someone help me with pictures. I don't understand how to withdraw and use my shoulders and elbows.

I thought I was a doofus so was too embarassed to post my frustrations in trying brownie's technique.
