I have an order going in to Jantz...I'll see if they have any... ;)

But the light scales really only look good on a Nickel Silver bolstered knife...and It's been a long time since I've seen any of those on eBay... :(

yea i saw that Chattanooga Tn, on the blade.....(all my Parkers say Alabama, USA).....so the blades get sent to wherever...and then they are assembled?

Is that how it works??? I thought it was the other way around...

I have another Parker; the "Parker Cut Co Surgical Steel" [and the eagle] is stamped really deep, but the "Made In Japan" on the other side is just lightly etched...That Frost on pg 1 also looks an awful lot like my Parkers...I think they may be made by the same people...

WilltheBarb, nice 110, I like the fingergrooves, it's simple and elegant.

Now why did I just know that Trax would take a like'n to that one on the left??? Preston

that snow bird on the left looks like a buck with a drop point!!! fooled me it did...
hay trax have you ever seen a 110 linerlock? green or blue green wood no back spring but has the notch ... realy a spear point blade half way from a drop point to a normal buck curve... stright line i would say,,,
almost entirely hand made in 97 or 98 by buck total of about 300 MOL made
cost over 100 then and production stoped as too much work for the price to disturbers...
if not i will post pict later this week ...
how about some more pict's of your latest work?!?!?:)

Never seen a linerlock 110...post them pics!... :D

My latest was the drop-point Micarta 112, pics are around here somewhere...I'm still working on the Micarta drop-point 110, I need to straighten out the blade edge, but I don't know how...yet...

Next up I think will be a dual-blade with smooth Elk stag scales...if the Elk people ever get back to me... :grumpy:

Thanks Preston.

Grohmann calls the one on the left a Hunter but I think it would be more of a utility knife. It is much more tip heavy than any of the clips. The blade is really beefy, good for chopping.

But I kind of like the blade that way; with no chamfer.

So that's a linerlock, huh? Interesting...

yes it is the only shape that buck has not contuned... looks almost like a stright edge grine from a 110 before it is camfered it is flat on top of that slope... i like camfer and drop a bit beter , but this shape and locking means are ones i did want for contrast in the collection ...
>the no locking action on this "feels" strange in a buck this size... and it has no 'snap' on closing like a 110... it does not NOT have the feel of a hunting or working knife at all ...has more the feel of a emgerancy or selfdefense "tool" like a paratrouper may have needed for utility....yea that's it utillity...
> i will say that it 'feels' like it has less likely hood of closing on your fingers and i have had a normal 110 close on me once seperating a joint when i put presser on the back and pushed the release a bit...

i thnink the dark green wood is neet but i would like ivory or horn better ... but i am realy afarde to have this converted as it is the 2 ed most expensive knife i own... make that 3ed as i gave the no 2 money knife to my brother and in this case i depart from my main idear of collecting due to its never being made again and will likely will not have the scales replaced because of its "vlaue as orgional"

if i get time i will post a pic of the 3 balde types togeather for compairson ..
have to get ' hunny do this list ' knocked down some...

What do you guys think of the 110LL that 334dave has??? Is it a really cool design, do you think???

I'd like to know how the blade locks...like, how is the heel of the blade ground, and how is the engagement tab of the liner cut/ground???

Is that stainless, or Nickel???

Just a WAG, but from the pics, it looks like there is a 3rd liner in there...is that right, Dave???

Congrats on the new custom 110! I ordered one exactly like it about 2 years ago. Still can't get over how nice it looks.

I'm such a traditionalist...it don't float my crank???

Trax, from the looks of that last pic it does have a third liner...the one that locks the blade...the rocker bar is probably free floating without the notch on the blade and/or the L thingy(tech talk:D ) on the rocker bar, the spring is either gone or shortened so the blade would be free to be opened with the thumbstud...all this Trax, because of your pics of the insides of a 110...whatja think??? Preston

I have to agree with you Preston, the 110 was designed as a lockback. If it is reconfigured as a liner lock, it kind of makes the thumb depression useless doesn't it? There are too many other liner locks that Buck makes to turn the 110 into one. I have a TNT which suits my liner lock needs just fine. ;)

Couldn't find one...so I tried making one! :D

This piece of Elk antler had no bark on it; and it had a dent...only way to get a 110 scale out of it was to make it a "second cut"...

I don't think I'll be putting Elk scales on any more Bucks... :(

(Edit: This is just rough sanded to shape...not finished/buffed yet)
