Buck fixed blade Fridays

I used this to de-bone a whitetail. While it did an outstanding job, the handle is a little too small to me.

More in the way of the guthooks not being sharpened. That step was missed before the handles were assembled. The guthook sharpening setup could not be performed with the handles attached. Buck removed the guthook and sold them as a web special. I'm looking for my notes to verify details.

what is that frontersman?
It's the 124 issued(without blade etch:)) for the 25th year of the BCCI Get-To-Together.

I have used the 103 skinner and while it's fine for deer sized and smaller animals I find I like a larger, longer bladed skinner for larger game. YYMV

What are you hunting that's bigger than a deer?.
....But then there are some small deer.
My buddy shoots the sandwich sized ones😁.
That's good in that he doesn't need help dragging it.👍

The 119 on kitchen duty. I used the 105 the other day for fried green tomatoes so today I thought I would try a different knife.

I was thinking this week that I’m not sure if the 119 of mine had ever been on an outing.

I’m taking my 15 yo daughter out Sat and Mon for youth deer. I know I said in another thread that I was going to take the 118, but I think I might take the 119 also just to play around with. CE53105E-3369-42F3-9897-BBA2B6DC7B29.jpeg
