Buck Slim Pro

These new offerings look to be well thought out and Buck is listening to their customers. Well done Buck! I will be buying these for me and gifts for family, when they are made available.

Very cool! So these should be available widely on the open market? Didn't think the Vantage would be bumped out of my pocket but this may just do it. I think the green Micarta 110 will be sweet, already have an LT and that handle doesn't do much for me, but given the apparent price point for a user I may also "need" one.

Anyone? Very curious how thick these babies are compared to the 110 and 112.

Probably about the same as the 560. It's noticeably thinner and quite reasonable to pocket carry. If I remember, I'll grab mine out of the safe and measure it ...

My problem is this: Which one?

Are these going to be double thumb studs? Also, any pictures or the clip side? Flat grind?

They look really nice. I have a 110 and 112 that I don't carry often due to the lack of pocket clip and one hand opening. These will be sweet!

Buck is really listening!

Cant wait to pick up a slim 110 in G10 and maybe a slim in nylon. I cant find the thickness difference between this and standard 110, would be nice if Buck spreads this info far and wide.

Does anyone know if nylon handle versions are built same as the 110LT?

I dont care for the thumb stud, or the funky molded pattern on the nylon handles, but this is real progress.

Way to go Buck! How about red G10 or micarta...........

I'm sure there will be some cool LE versions in the years to come..I'm so glad Buck included the 112 in this new model. I'll do my part in supporting Buck on these.

These are exactly what we've been wanting from Buck for a long time. I am so glad they are being made. Really hope they're released in time for Christmas. I just wonder why Buck chose to label them as 110 and 112? The blade profiles look almost exactly like the 482 and 486 Bucklite. In fact I would say these new offerings are upgrades of those model knives.

I agree on the support. I’m already making plans to pick up the 110 & 112 in both the green and brown Micarta.

My issue was the small Vantage was going to be my last EDC and I spent time back in the Diamondwood days eventually getting (hand picking them from stores with yellow boxes) six with light grey scales and 13C26 blades. Took several different stores and a year.

I know, I know everyone should have my problem. Only actual problem I have had is I broke clip screw and bent clip hanging it up during a tight and fast squeeze by a metal workbench. Was fixable. Used new screw from my first one that had dark scales, 420hc.

I will handle a 112 version anyway, if for nothing else just to compare. Just as a side note, having bought extras I have never lost one in 8 years. At that rate they should last till I am at least 105. 300

They have the modified clip of the 480 series but the handle shape is not, which I am very fond of the 486 handle just wish it was a standard drop point, but the modified is better than the clip.

My 560 looks to be about 7/16" thick. About 2/3 of the thickness of the 110LT. I'd guess we'll see something similar. On the fence about the modified clip, I really, really like the clip on the 110.
