Buck. The sheaths are the same that come with the Alpha Pro Hunter knives. The sheaths that came with these Select knives are the worst Buck has ever issued.Custom made or a 3rd party vendor?
Curious how you purchased them? I don't see them for sale on the website? I have the Alpha selects and I agree, the sheaths in your pictures look much better.Buck. Matt with Buck told me you should be able to call customer service and order them that way.
I've thought of ordering the kydex sheath for my Alpha Guide Pro, but just haven't done it.

I have no idea what it is, but I like it. I had a 212 and sold it because I felt the blade was too short. That extra inch of blade makes it look a lot better in my opinion. Buck should release some of these older models as a BOTM every now and then. This is an unusual one and a bit of an open question. What is the knife on the top? The blade measures 4 5/8", handle is lignum vitae ('55-'56). Buck's Historian thought it could be a model 111 or 113 from the 1949/51 catalog ordered as a special order with possibly custom dimensions in 1955/56. It bears some resemblance to the modern 212. Thanks to the several individuals who helped me acquire it...it's my favorite and I suppose something of a personal grail knife. Note the extra aluminum spacer at the pommel. Presumably to make up for a short piece of lignum vitae or short pommel.
Congrats on the acquisition. Wonderful knife!something of a personal grail knife.
I couldn't guess on a model number, but I like it a lot. I notice that the handle is much more "blocky" than modern ones. More like the shape of a 124 handle. How does it feel in-hand? The blade shape definetely resembles the 212, which I happen to like also. Could you share a few more pictures from different angles? Thanks! This is an unusual one and a bit of an open question. Here are a couple of additional photos. The comparison to the 119 and 212 helps give a good sense of size and shape. The handle is comfortable, a bit blocky but smaller and less "sharp" corners than a micarta 124.I couldn't guess on a model number, but I like it a lot. I wholeheartedly agree. The 117 is so close (and I love the 117). If it had a deeper belly, more like the 212 scaled up, it would be an even better design for me. 4 1/2" is a very useful size, evidenced by how many of us love the 118.I have no idea what it is, but I like it. Preston, I wish you good fortune on both hunts, especially next week's affair. Those 112's look as good as any for ducks. What blade do you plan on carrying whilst in pursuit of them buglers?Been busy today getting things together for the Youth/Veterans duck hunt this weekend and the elk hunt next week...
Two 112s fer Tuesday.
