Bucks new custom shop site is up and running.
higher prices were lowered after a few days and
fromites were able to get a discount! :thumbup:
orders seem to be steady after a long dry spell ...
there is new rams horn but bg42 is no longer avabile..
some like, and some dont like the graphis...YOU are invited to post your thoughts on the new Custom Shop web site and priceing and options as this thread has changed, in now it is a discusson forum on the changes on the reopened custom shop > linky>

the site takes longer to load on my machine and at first i did not like the grafices on the custom knife but got used to them...
so as they say on that one comerical for looking better with a shot...

the custom shop link is not on the web site as it has some problums

but why make it easy! the phome number is on the site as is the email ...
but what the hay... will go back and edit ... make it easy on grasshoppers..;)

Joe is bothered enught by the likes of me and others like me like you...
on the phone there is a selection for warrenty info...
gee it is 4 am! ... pain meds wore off ... now ware did i put that jar?

OK...Let me get this straight...You're saying someone who is in business producing & selling knives doesn't want to hear from the people who want to buy or have bought his knives??? :eek:

I'm not arguing the point...I just want to make sure I understand what you're saying... :cool:

i guess what i am saying is that many of us know Joe on a level that is of well ....
some one we know,,, and as such we dont even pause to call...
which i do jest to catch up on elk or some other shooting of the beef...
joe would not mind talking with him or takeing his call,,,
that i would bet my jar on...

BUT.... for when I order i dont call joe ...
when i call or email an order i contact ena or pete or some one in sales
Joe's job is NOT sales,,, he dont know what is currently avabile or the prices or options off the top of his head... i dont even think he has access to the credit card pages or order pages for sales either... so ..
i dont bother joe as
there are several in the store that KNOW what is avabile and what the cost is... and they are good at their jobs!

joe is a top shot, trouble shooting customer rep...
and a damm good one and would make a great sales man...
but he is not the proper one to call to place an order....
so that is why i said no need to bother him to order a knife ....
now if the guy had an issue with a knife then joe is the man...
but to order a knife ,,,ena is the gal !

doing some yard work that i enjoy:) but hurting a hell of a lot from it :grumpy:
some what distracted by pain :(and hitting the jar a tad more offten:o..

It could if someone emailed/called the Moderator and requested it...but the mod is the same "Joe" that I suggested be listed as a contact...and his email posted... :rolleyes:

The Buck Web site now has a link to order the customs. BG42 isn't there anymore but s30v is. Also the price is up. All scales now cost more, even oak is $15. So base price is now $75. S30V is now $37 extra. Also it looks like cm154 has replaced ats34 at a cost of $26. Leather sheaths are also $5 more. Damasus is $228. Looks like Buck is now charging what there Customs should have cost along time ago. I think I only paid around $82 for mine with BG42 and walnut scales, that was about a 1 1/2 years ago. Now it would cost $117 with s30v. The siye still a bit odd in that it looks like you could order one without scales. Does anyone remeber what the base price used to be? $58? Now it is $90, $95 if you get the leather sheath. Check all of the top $ options and the price is now $528.

I'd guess not...Surely after all those price checks, presz would have posted the link, if it was open... :)

Edit: I clicked on the link in the adbar at the top of this page, and it took *5 minutes* for the Buck main page to load...and no Custom Shop link!!! :grumpy:
