Budget Scandis (Moras,Brusletto,Marttiini pics)

I have lots of Moras, and they will always be great knives for what they cost, but after receiving my Hultafors Grovknivs(heavy dutys) the Moras took a back seat immediately. Any of you considering buying a Mora should definitely look at these Hultafors knives. The best description I have heard of them yet is that they are like Moras on steroids, and that pretty much somes them up. Heck, they even cost within a buck or two of the Mora knives.

Where is a good place to buy Hultafors?

So I've heard that taking care of the carbon blades isn't that bad. But, I am still curious as to how to take care of them. I've seen things like just put oil in the sheath, stick the blade in a potato and other things, could someone comment on the best things to do? Also, what's with the raw potato thing?

Putting a blade in a potato or apple, or wrapping in a paper towel soaked in vinegar, etc. All the "weird" methods you see described, are used to develop a patina, which helps to keep the steel from rusting through and corroding. It's sort of a controlled oxidization.
