• Happy Thanksgiving to all of you! I hope that you all have something to be grateful for this year and for many years to come
  • America has reached 250 years, and I am grateful to be here, in the best country in the world. Thank every one of you who helps make this country a better place, those who have gone before and risked it all, and those who've paid the ultimate price to make the United States what we are today.

Happy Birthday America! Let Freedom Ring for all time!

Bug out vehicle

...Anyway, I won't bother any of the rest of you with my busphilia.

Feel free to bring it on! You are not the only one who loves VW vans here ;). If you can undestand a bit of spanish, take a look at www.furgovw.org. It is a spanish forum. You can find my rig and others of the same kind (syncro) in the SYNCRO section of the MECANICA subforum. Here right now T3 Syncro with dual lockers are all the rage. And people do really work on them. Problem is that here we have something called ITV (which stands for INSPECCIÓN TECNICA DE VEHICULOS) and that means anything you put on your T3 or you modify... needs to be certified. That usually just means money, but there are a few things you just can't do.

Check this out. Mine is the blue one with the spare wheel carrier. The other one is from a friend of mine (Old T3 Syncro with 14" rims and road tires... it beats the crap out of mine offroad anyway).

In this video you can see a friend of mines VW van. Long base and high roof. It was an ambulance before. The video is being recorded from a T3 with a V6 sporting 150cv, also from a fellow forumite.

Back to the topic. They are by no means the perfect BOV, but hell... they are a lot of fun!
