Bunny Knife 2022

I think the process has worked very well this time: I'm not sure IF all 400 US allocated knives were sold or whether some will now be open to all bidders as it were. The Canadian thread is still open and Europe/Rest of the world is yet to open covering the remaining 100, a generous allocation.

This means that all who really wanted one and had the means, got one. It's a Forum Knife with a Traditional Knife on offer, contrary to what some bores would like to believe, it is not a Traditional Folders & Fixed Blades club annual knife. There are not 500 regular contributors to the Traditional Forum anyway, thus it should and has to be open to anybody who meets the criteria as set by the site owner and the initiator of this project. If you have to have Gold membership and 25 posts in the Trad Forum or whatever it was, this is the situation. No point moaning about feeling outside nor is there any legitimacy to those people who want to sleuth about denouncing people for boosting their post count, buying memberships or not, speculating about peoples' commitment etc. playing crypto mod, irrelevant, none of their business, particularly as nobody is missing out. It's something to be glad about and it's happening soon.

It seems like it was the right move at the right time. The forum has become large enough and the forum knife popular enough to attract too many new folks who just enjoy wrangling and complaining during the process. Perhaps it was always like that—I can’t say as I’ve been around for less than half of them—but I’m sure the numbers were smaller and more tolerable. It will be interesting to see how much flipping happens. I thought last year’s knife had fewer flippers than the year before. I appreciate that the BF owners and admins were willing to go at it again. I hope the ordering and distribution will go well for all involved.

Speaking of distribution, I am right in understanding that Spark will be handling the US orders and European orders and Charlie will do the Canadian orders?

I think Facebook operates the same way. There are groups with 5000 members, but really only about 300 are active users. The rest are just there hoping to score on a drop, or lurkers, or there to sell. But you can bet if they offered a group knife, they all would come popping up out of the woodwork.

I think they were estimated to arrive in November, not by November. Plus, it's a postal holiday weekend. We'll get them when we get them.

No refund for the 100 or so people who got dinged an extra shipping charge yet either.
Spark posted that he'll deal with that when he's ready to ship (and possibly do a final double check on eligibility & whatnot)
