Glad to hear you got your knife back. Thats great..

Even though most of us here have never met in person, its still a small community, and the folks here take care of each other.

Good job Esav. The mods here do a great job, and I'm sure they do a lot more that we never hear about

Now, lets all be very very careful in our dealings!!! If the member is "new" make him ship first, no matter how good the deal seems and how persistent the new member is about shipping at the same time, period
 
i'm glad you got your knife back. it sucks when someone rips you off. i got ripped for sharpening 30 knives last year but i took it as a lesson learned.

Now, I m curious to know if the matching IP address determined this was a dupp username from another member, or if that was a pure coincidence based on both members using the same ISP...

I am comfortably certain the 3 usernames all with the same IPs were one person or conspiring together.
 
This is the best news, way to go, I hope you left permanent stains in his underwear. Way to go BF members, this is truely a community.
 
Esav,You the Man!Can this scumbag be prosecuted?This wasnt a small amount of monetary value.And it seems its been going on awhile.
 
Here is the last message I sent Tucker (after I had my knife back in my possession). He was going on with his story that the knife had been lost in the mail....

'Don't bullshit me. You planned on stealing my knife from the beginning and only sent it back when it came back to haunt you and Auggie. Change your ways before you get seriously hurt. The Internet is not always anonymous and you made a good decision this time. There are some very serious people on the forums who have access to more information than you can imagine.

Very happy you got your knife back!

I am always very careful to check to be sure a
member who is selling something I am interested in
is a PAID member.
My belief is that someone who paid for a membership
isnt an "off the shelf" guy trying to pull a fast one.
Also,a PAID member left some kind of paper trail
when he paid up.
I have in the past mentioned in the sales thread that the
seller needed to upgrade his/her membership before I woiuld deal
with them.
I have also seen members disregard my message and offer a deal
to the "regular" member.
PAID memberships in my opinion help protect the seller
and the buyer.
Also traders.
Sorry for the rant.
