Dave dicided to take matters in his own hand and split the camp:D

Short time later Mike pulls in.. I guess the drive was a long one.

Well a short time later it started to rain. As you can see everyone was sort of cold. Except one guy out there.. I would let you figure out who it was..
No it wasnt Chris in case you wonder. He is the one in the hat all bundeled up.

more to come.

My nephew were telling me when he was alone with me that everyone is so cool and great. He realy enjoyed camping with everyone. He also wanted to know when everyone gets togher again. My sister just picked him up. He didnt stop talking about how great of a time he had. When she asked him about everyone he met. He couldnt stop talking about everyone... I think that says everything about The People that showed up. The best folks out there.

That sign is pure gold!

Thanks for sharing the pics. Sounds like you guys had a great time.

All the best,

- Mike

Thanks Sasha---it was a good time! When I first casually mentioned the idea of a meetup, I had no idea anyone would do such a fantastic job of taking it and running with it. You are to be congratulated for making this happen. And for bringing all the tasty goodies!:D

Sasha was the only real Survivorman of the group: He not only hung out in shorts and a t-shirt during the cold rainstorm (before there was a fire going) but he was also the only one to eat a substantial portion of a giant roasted grub. A couple others were gutsier than I was and at least tried a bit of the huge grub but Sasha was the only one who chomped half the thing down with enthusiasm!

Few more shooting

John watched over everyone.. I must apologize for shooting my pellet gun before the safety talk John gave...

I dont know if you can see it but if you look hard you can see the arrow in flight. Thats Mike shooting.
114.jpg

My Nephew trying the bug and he had some water in the hand just in case.
121.jpg

Chris dicided to put some garlic powder but he couldnt do it. I did eat the grub and i do think it tasted not bad at all. But fried with some onion and garlic with bell pepers it would be REALY GOOD. Thats for next time.
122.jpg

Our most chilling guy in the camp. Dave had some of the best Hunting camping stories to tell. Nephew said he wants to hear more of them and he wants to go with Dave on one of his adventures.

O.k thats all the pics for tonight.
I enjoyed the company, If they would have me i would go with any of them any time. Never been around so many custom knifes.. You had to see Dave carry his bag with knifes over to the table to show them...

Mentor we had a great time and already been talking about our Bush Bash II .
Dave that grub was fairly good. Had a nice smoky nutty flavor. I should have fried it. if we just had more of them. It was more then worth the plan to get everyone togher. If it didnt rain the first night it would have been even better. I bet our next one would be better. Its also great to actualy meet the people in person.

Great pictures, Sasha, thanks for sharing. It would be a blast to meet all the people on this forum, but, alas, not possible. However, it would be good to include BF names as well, so we know who's who.

Like I said, can't meet everybody, but if anybody is going through Hamilton, Ontario, give me a heads up and maybe we can go play in the woods for a while.

Doc

Sorry, I don't have too many action shots of the good times, I was too busy participating!

I had a great time. I agree with Sasa, I can't think of a more pleasant and enjoyable group to have spent the weekend camping with. It was a pleasure and I would absolutely do it again. Thank you guys (and gals) for making it a fantastic trip.
