Yes, lambertiana gets a big thanks from everyone for suggesting such a nice spot. One of the best features after its beauty was the fact that it was remote but still easy to reach.

I may have missed it, but where did you guys go? (Unless it's a secret spot, of course).

I grew up in the Mother Lode country, and that Ponderosa pine the spider was on looks pretty familiar.

The Sierra Nevada foothills are good country, especially when it's all lush and green.

There's a March 21 post by rksoon in the W&SS calendar sticky with detailed directions. It's on Eshom Valley Rd. just north of the Hartland Christian Camp (I think Badger is the nearest settlement).

Mountainman38 Its one and a half mile past the hartland christian camp.. I got the cordinates for the exact place using the WGS84 if you want them. But directions givin are right on. Got a call from Aaron(nephew) asking when we going camping again and if everyone would be there again lol. He wont stop talking about how much fun he had.

Ray,

I've been trying to set another Bush Bash up a little farther North with the fellow who previously offered some land he owns. Perhaps during hunting season, to add another possible activity. I don't have the ability to PM him. If I send you the contact information, would you be willing to send him a PM and ask him to contact me to get the ball rolling?

Thanks,

Dave

[Edit: That's a very friendly dog that you brought. Bear was fun.]

He looked at least 90% Lab to me. I think Ray said he is around 10 years old so he has a little gray hair on him (I know how that feels!:D)

Dave, email me with the info here: raylaconico@aol.com

PB Wilson, Bear is a 10 year old lab mix. I've had him since he was small enough to fit in my hand. The best dog I've ever had or will ever have.

Thanks Ray---I'll e-mail you.

Bear is an amazingly frisky dog for his age. Very enthusiastic and good tempered.

Thanks, guys. My mom grew up in Exeter, at the foot of the hills there, and spent many summers at a camp at Eshom. I've been going up there since I was about 2 years old, and we went by that Hartland camp every time. Great country.

Did you guys make it up to Moro Rock? That's a great place to go check out the valley from.

Thanks for so many very cool pictures! You guys who post pictures of your outings really help those of us who don't get a chance to get out as much as we'd like, or live too far away.

I've been to the Sequoia NP attractions like Moro in the distant past. But now I don't like national parks very much and try to avoid them.

I did send an e-mail to my Christian friends suggesting to them that if their churches ever want to hold a retreat at a great venue, that Hartland Camp looks beautiful.

I too appreciate the guys with digital cameras and computer skills posting all the great images. Thanks!
