Why the CS thrower?? I have noted that they are still Carbon V and contemplated whacking some scales on one of mine

i thought the steel of the thrower was 1055

Its on the pic, coz that was one of the reasons i went out in the bush yesterday, for throwing it.

Myakka...great thread! Is this the guy that sold you the grey watch cap?

yep,
When I got to the Tracker class it was a little cool outside, so I went to put on my wool cap. It didnt fit, my wife must of washed it.:grumpy: Tom has a little store that opens at lunch time, so I had to shell out $16.00 for a new cap. The only caps they sold read "TRACKER" across the front, oh well.

Here are my main cutting tools that I swap in and out of service.

Is there any particular reason why you chose the GB Hunting Axe instead of the Small Forest Axe?
I know, I know, for hunting reasons, of course... But did you have any other reasons (don't even know if you hunt)?

Just being curious here :)

As a matter of fact, Karl.. I don't hunt.:o I liked the look of this model... the handle shape... its slightly smaller than the SFA and resembles a hawk, which I prefer using over axes. (Handle replacement in the field is much easier with a hawk, IMO)
