Bushcraft Knife challenge - Interest?

The other problem is that if we start sending the knives all over the continent, it becomes a 2 year passaround event.

That being said, Quick Kill, this is the third challenge so far, and there will surely be more!

Yup. My goal, is to have the knives back in the maker's hand by Christmas!

That may not happen, but we will try.

On a different not. How cool is it that new BF makers like Gray Wolf Knives and AA Forge are entering this contest.

I think it is awesome. Will be nice to see some new faces around here. I'd never heard of Bruce before the first one, and I was hoping there would be a few more makers showing up here. Who knows, maybe someone will beat Rick  :D

Okay thanks for the info. I figured as much I haven't been here very long I'm still looking forward to the reviews. Good luck and have fun.

Always a great thing to see new makers participating in these shootouts

Looking forward to seeing what they have in the offerings.

Don't feel too bad buddy, I thought of the first contest then revived this one and I still haven't got to play with any steel, I think it's because I don't take many pics !:D

Thanks tonym for holding the challenge. I'm looking forward to seeing the results!

Brother AA is damn good knifemaker... I have seen his website. Sort of a mix of JK and Koyote... but definately has his own thing going.

Rick

Awesome, thanks bro.

Really.. really wish you didn't show me that website. I want some now :o

Thanks Rick! I know my web site's not quite finished yet, so if anyone has any questions please feel free to ask.

I'm looking forward to this as well. The camp knife challenge was awesome and it will be cool to see a few new makers compete.

Aww, how sweet :D

As Koyote pointed out, my family does like to cook, but mostly my sister. However, he also knows, she is due to have a baby at the end of October, and I am usually the one who helps her with her kids, and herself. (Kids, plural, as in 7)

It depends on the time of when they would be sent whether I could help or not. If I have the time available, I will be able to have my sister, and mother use them around the kitchen. All depends on what happens with my sister, though. (And work, and hunting - if we just got a deer, could be a great time to try them out on one ;) )

No hee-hawing around and no more excuses. You are doing some testing!:D

Excuses? My sister is pregnant, I help her take care of her kids, and her? How is that an excuse?

If I am busy with watching kids after work (if there is any) Then I really can't. I rather they be getting tested while I am doing that. Besides that, November 20-21 I am taking my nephew on his second youth gun hunt. Then I leave the Friday after Thanksgiving until December 5th for Gun season. Then again in two weeks. Then it is Xmas time.

So, no excuses, all valid reasons here. As I said though, if I get a deer before that via bow, I would be glad to test them out butchering em up ;)
