BUSSE (HOGS) followers are sensitive

I concur with many of the previous posters. I haven't met many Hogs in person, but I do know that if I do meet them, I will be treated like family. Suttond, you are way out of line in posting this thread. This was not a Busse event. It was not their responsiblity to have a backup plan. Why didn't you check the forums to see if there would be a cancellation? Or why didn't you check the forums before posting your previous thread? It would have saved you a lot of trouble.
I would have been disappointed had I been in your position, but knowing what the cause was, I would have gotten over it. A person's health is far more important to me than any knife or other object. Please come correct.

Unreallll ... ya still don't understand it was not a Busse event. They had no Plan B because they had no Plan A. BUSSE KNIVES was not involved in that show AT ALL.

You finally came out with something we can all agree with.

suttond, it goes something like this...

thatmguy contacted Busse Knives. He said something like, "Hey guys, I'm going to be at the Indy show. Can you send me some knives to sell?"

Since thatmguy is a trusted past seller of Busse Knives, they replied with something like, "Sure Hammy, we'll get you together some knives for the show."

I have no idea what the financial arrangements are, but again, thatmguy is not an employee of Busse Combat. On occasion, he sells the knives.

Busse Combat did not seek out the show. Like Esav said, no Plan A = no Plan B.

Furthermore, when Hammy had his heart scare, it was all over the forum that he would not be at the show. Eric Isaacson, who represents the Swamp Rat line, made a post to such effect. BEFORE the show.

suttond, you have no one to blame but yourself. If you'd wanted to make damn sure that some Busse knives would be at the show, you should have PM'd or emailed thatmguy. My guess is that, being the good guy he is, he probably would have given you a call to confirm.

:foot: stick with those other brands. more infi for the trough!

everyone i've communicated with that is associated with or who buys busse knives has been great! good comm. and customer service.:D

also please remember NO REGRETS!

I just have one more thing to say about this.I don't own a Busse nor am I a member of the Hog elite:p.That's only because they're too expensive for me.I'm not saying they're not worth every penny,by any means.Everytime I see one,I gotta wipe the drool off my keyboard:D

IMO Sutton what you have posted not once, but twice is simply unforgivable. You may as well cancel your membership & try getting back on with a new name.I for one would never do any kind of business(buy, sell, trade) with such a self centered pr!ck as yourself. You've destroyed your credibility, with such insensitive threads/posts.You should be ashamed of yourself.
If it was me & I went through exactly what you went through,my first thoughts would be "OMG I hope he's gonna be OK"-"Is it serious?".Granted I'd be a little bummed about not getting my dream knife, but it would be the furthest thing from my mind.Knives/objects/possesions come & go.It's the people that are important.

You owe a REAL apology to the knife community, thatmguy & Busse, but even then it might not be enough, but it's worth a try.Think about what you said.Deep down, you gotta know it was wrong. If anything at all comes from this,I hope you can learn from this experience.

Best of luck to you.I hope someday you can learn to think of others besides yourself.

First off, how is the heart patient in question?

second, this is to the Original Poster of this thread: you owe a serious apology to the forum, ThatMguy. Jerry Busse and Co, and to the HOGS.

sometimes in life there are inconveniences and things don't go the way you want them too. MAN UP, GROW A PAIR OF TESTICLES AND A BACKBONE and learn to deal with it. Life sucks sometimes, It isn't always about YOU.

also please remember NO REGRETS!

You know, that's a good attitude to keep in mind generally, and it's not only a Busse thing. We go through life bumping into one disappointment after another, and if you deal with it, you can even come out OK from some of them. "If life gives you lemons, make lemonade."

Three hours travel to the show and all for nothing? Make the trip itself worthwhile. Stop along the way at a decent restaurant and have a good meal. Plan ahead for a stop at an observation point with binoculars and a camera.

Why get in the car and blast straight through? Take a break, take another, it's safer, healthier, more fun, and would have made up in part for the disappointment at the show.

Life is a journey. Don't be in such a hurry to get to your final destination.

WOW! I haven't been over here lately.

I was on the night of his first thread, and the thread about it being cancelled was right under his:confused:

I told him about that thread, and the other right below about Mike's condition.
He had a very good chance right there to apologize, but he chose to half ass do it with a "I still think they should have had a back up plan" stuck in:thumbdn:. He was told then, just as he has been here, IT WAS NOT AN BUSSE IVENT.

I have never seen a situation like this where someone just doesn't get it.

Suttond, I truely hope that you will be OK. I'm not trying to offend, but I think maybe you should talk to someone about your problem with your not understanding things that doesn't work out for you. You will have many things that will not work as you want them to in life... it will help if you can be able to handle them with class.

When we go to the New York show
we don't go alone
and when we get there
who do we see
but other knife knuts far from home

we spend as much time
meeting friends
as looking at the knives
and if we buy that's only one
of many reasons for the ride

A few weeks before the 1500 show, there was a show in Columbus at Vet's Memorial. As per usual, Hammy posted he would be there. I had some PM communications with him and told him on Friday night that I would see him in the morning. It worked like a charm! COMMUNICATION, it's a long word but very easy to do. I saw a ton of awesome infi and made a fantastic purchase of a matching FFFBM and a HOGFSH. Suttond, you should have come to the Columbus show, you know...while Hammy wasn't in the Hospital :thumbdn: JACKUS  Mike is a very nice and accomodating man, nothing short of a very sincere apology to Mike and the sensitive Hogs will suffice, PERIOD!

so how is the guy doing anyway? better i hope........

shit happens, i know i would gladly drive 3 hours to make a show, never have been to a knife show and really wanna go to one, seems like every time they have one anywhere close to me i have family obligations (i'm a single parent w/a 17 yr old son to worry with lol) and simply cant get away, it would be a blast for me irregardless of who was/wasnt there just to see all the 'smiths/internet guys i "know"/new stuff/etc.

point being like i said 1 person or company being there or not wouldnt determine whether i had a good day or not, just being at the show would guarantee a good day, heck a knife nut at a knife show how can that not be all good?

I apologize. I realize I was wrong. I handled things the wrong way. No more whinning or pissing or moaning. I've apparently offended so many people that I can't name them all, so I want to apologize to everybody. I especially want to apolozige to THATMGUY and the BUSSE crew. If you want to roast me then roast me. If you want to kick me off the site, then I deserve it. I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry.

Apparently???????

this still sounds like self-justification. Someone says 'apparently' when they are unsure or as a way to snub their protagonist by pretending to not know the effects of their actions. Just say something like this:

'folks, I was a complete dick and I should not have posted the crap I did. I was insensitive and uncaring, and failed to see how stupid my OP and subsequent responses were. It won't happen again."

I think the "apparently" just means he offended so many people it seems he can't apologize to each of them individually. His first three sentences were unequivocal.

fair enough. Sounded a bit un-unequivocal with the 'apparently', but I can see your point.
