Busse Khukuri

Cool logo.....on the group order front I read on the Yard forum that Garth is away for a week....maybe we can get something to him for his return....I already sent in an e-mail but need to send in the latest picture.

What are we wanting size wise? An overall length of 19 inches and .25 thick? Thicker than this and it will be a bit too heavy for a carry blade.....what do you all think?

I am sure a few more guys would chime in for an order. Jeremey Horton and UJ and there will be others who have been desperately wanting an Infi Khukri.....if the numbers are there we might get a full run....this knife just has to be made!!!

19 inches sounds good as does the thickness! I reckon skeletonized handles would help for real snappy handling and a thin rubber lining under the slabs to act as a shock absorber which the diffheat treat would normally provide. I really hope this one gets the nod!

to compare a FFBM is total length of 16.5 and .32 thick

So 19 at .32 would work for me for me or even .30

My ideal would be 16.5 at .32 and/or a 19 at .30

BUT

I'm taking what ever they are giving:D

I would shell out the cash for this. I've never owned a Busse but haven't heard anything about them that wasn't great.

INFI has amazing flex and strength as we all know. A thinner blade would reduce velocity but clever balancing would make up for it and you can't subtitute speed which a thinner blade would provide. Like you I will take it in any thickness, I think the bevels wouldclook cool too.

I am in. One for 19 at .32. I had sent my inqueries to Jerry and Garth regarding this Busse Khukuri. And like everyone else here, I am willing to take whatever they throw at us.

With Fullers :

Interesting, but not quite what I was talking about. One single fuller per side. The flat part between the edge and the spine being one big fuller. Does that even make sence?

The top one looks great! The bottom one looks too much like a cross between a bowie and a meat cleaver for me. :p Although I must say, if David Bowie had the bottom one at the Alamo we probably would have won.

I love this design and would definitely be in for one. For me minus the choil. I don't really think this knife will be doing much finer work, and I would prefer the extra cutting surface on this one. Also I think it just looks better w/o the choil. Also, isn't a khukuri supposed to be quick and nimble? It is a jungle knife. .32 inches thick? That would be ridiculously heavy ie. not quick and nimble. I think .22 at the thickest! Just my thoughts... :D

If we had David Bowie at the Alamo, we definitely would have won. Ziggy Stardust meets Santa Anna? Ziggy wins everytime. :D
