Busses and Guns

They do in fact fail in several known ways, for one in salt water exposure the magazine springs can corrode causing failures.

White Sound Defense makes 10 & 11 coil stainless springs for Glock mags just for these reaching situations.
Also, the followers are are non metallic.

Nice toys!

Why alternate brass up/brass down in side-saddle? IMHO that partially negates a reason for it.

I can understand brass-down for loading the mag and brass-up for loading the ejection port, but alternating just doesn't make sense to me.

HAHA! To be honest it was 4 minutes after I installed the carrier and the new oversized bolt handle. It was purely for the look in the picture. The M4 is actually currently at my smiths shop having the feed milled and a ramp installed. An extension tube is on order and some furniture will be next after that. Too many toys to mod them all at once!

Next Pic. My Brand new Noveske and Vltor custom built mayhem thrower in 300BLK and a few of the other .40 pistols to make sure its not lonely! But with what Busse... PIMP2? MOABM? a few others? we shall see!

Post up something cool BJBJ!! I know ya got em!!

You should try an extra in the.357. The shape of the bullet lends itself to an extra round... Mine is not special

I'm not following how that can work and will try it today. Their + inserts and floorplates are internally triangular in shape allowing extra travel for the follower in the rear. If the bullet shape lends itself to anything it would be extra room in the front. But the case diameter is the same. So it should not have extra capacity unless you happen to have a + insert.

Just try it, don't think about it.... I've owned 3 different .40 cal. They have all worked with one extra round

I dunno. I tried; it didn't work. I was using a G27 mag loading with 357 Sig FMJTC. Still held 9. I pushed hard enough significantly to dent the top round. I could only get enough travel for 40-50% of the case head of the 10th round to go below the feed lips.

I'm not sure how .357 SIG would fit one extra cartridge in the magazine either; as ithe .357 SIG round was designed using a .40 S&W case necked down to .357 to achieve the desired results (of .357 magnum velocities out of an automatic). so it is not like the diameter of the case changes between the two rounds...

Also my SIG P239 in .40 holds the same number of cartridges in .40 S&W or in .357 SIG. Have you only tried it with Glock mags? If so I'll go try it next time I'm at work (I don't own a Glock :( ).

I can't explain why it's not working. My gen 3 glock 27 does it. I carry hornaday critical duty and maybe that is the difference. Stock is 9rds. Mine fits 10 and my plus 1 base plates make them 11 total. I only know about glock mags... The ones with ambi mag release....

Dug out my 357sig ammo and a mag, glock 22 with conversion barrel and factory 357sig mag. 15 is all that fits, same for the 40cal mag. The same diameter of the main body of the case is what is the restricting factor. Both being 40 cal with the 357sig just necked down.

I use critical duty and g2 research rip rounds.both get me an extra round...

I've re counted several times. It works in mine. Sorry if it doesn't in yours. Let's get back to the gun pics, I'll start

Here is the glock 27 with all the magazine's I've tried. Extra one fits in all, with no modifications

Yeah I don't know either. I tried it on a few mags and none of them would take the extra. If you have a glock 9mm try out the new Magpul g9 mags, I picked some up and they work great 15 bucks a pop is a steal. I've run a few hundred rounds through them now with no failures of any kind. Using them in my G22 with a 9mm conversion barrel.

Sounds like a winner!

I have never had a problem with +1 or +2 extensions in any caliber Glock. Just caught up on the thread. They do require a certain spring seating plastic thingy though that I have aquired from the factory Glock 33 round mags. Or maybe I've just been lucky also?

Just picked this one up today. It's a 10mm Fusion Firearms frame built with Ed Brown and Cylinder & Slide internals. The build and cerakote were done by Predator Customs here in Knoxville.

Perhaps your mag springs are worn, have you checked? It's one reason I could think why your's work fine yet nobody else has succeeded here….

Everything purchased was brand new, I purchased because I wanted this set up. I can't call it. All mags were New as well, 35 a piece.
