ARAK - if you have a problem with the knife - you should have emailed or PP'd me first.
the knife is new as I received it from Cold Steel other than the lack of plastic bag in which I received it.
I have no idea what you're talking about with missing chunk of rubber or initials carved in the handle.
Yes, there is a minor molding flaw in the back of the handle - I didn't mention it because I thought it was normal.
Send it back - in the same condition I sent it - and I will refund your money.

and THAT was there when I got the knife from Cold Steel.
I figured it was leftover from when they cast the rubber, did not realize it was a flaw worth accusing me of trying to cheat you.
send it back and I will refund what you paid me for it if it comes back in the same condition it was in when I shipped it to you.
If you had sent me an email instead of posting this in the forum, I would have told you the same thing.

I don't see anything about paying me for the return shipping. And yes it is a big deal that knife with the handle like that is not even a collectable. The value of the knife is alot less than if it was not like that. Also under a magnification glass it looks like the initials FS are in the hole. Possibly for Factory Second.

If it is that's news to me. I did not buy it as a factory second.
If you had asked for more detailed pictures before paying, I would have sent them.
If you had told me you were looking for an absolutely pristine safe queen for collection purposes, I would have told you this may not be the knife for you.
I sold it as a new, unused knife, in the condition I originally received it, which it is.

If you had not tried lowballing me the day I first posted this thread, or if you had emailed me with your concerns when you got the knife instead of posting this mess in the forum, then it would sound less like trolling and I likely would have offered to pay return shipping. If you're not happy with it, send it back in the condition it was delivered for a refund of the purchase price.

Thanks Esav, was not aware, looked like a molding/sprue mark to me - offer to refund on return still stands.

all i can see in the pic is the small chunk and a line next to it, i dont see a "2"

EDIT
it could be the pic i am not saying anyone is right nor not, maybe if the pic was clearer and in focus the factory second issue could be resolved,

Arak, what I can see from your pic is a production mark. The handle is molded Plastic, it's bound to have some sort of Seam, if not more.

If I were you, I would fix the handle and be done with it. No reason to make a Jeer thread because a little chunk is out of the bottom of the handle

And you E-mailed the Seller first to voice your concerns?

Talk about jumping the gun...........................

Proper form and courtesy would be to contact the Seller immediately after receiving the knife and voicing your concerns. Working with each other in an effort to resolve the issue satisfactorily to both parties.

I own this very same knife and it does not look like this- no damage to the handle. I have collection of 57 old cold steek knives carbon V, Seki Japan etc and none of them have a handle that looks like this. Seller stated knife was new and nothing mentioned about the handle, it is not a production flaw. Someone cut the chunk of rubber out and melted the initials FS in there. Not even near the seam.

An honest mistake seems to have been made and you've been offered a refund.

Your continued ranting isn't taking this situation any closer to a conclusion not to mention your bad form in spamming the sellers sale thread before attempting to contact him via PM or E-mail.

What exactly is your motive here? Are you hoping for him to refund a portion of your money and allow you to keep the knife?

There's a simple resolution, send the knife back and claim your refund.

ARAK definitely screwed up big time, he's also relatively new here.

Not disclosing that big chunk out of the handle? C'mon guys. Guess who is on my "Do not buy from" list? :thumbdn:

Damaged handle should have been disclosed.
Buyer should have contacted seller before posting here.
I have bought from this seller before and was very pleased with the transaction.
