C101XHP - Foliage Green Manix2 with CTS-XHP

Just got an email from Knifecenter that mine has been shipped. Those guys always seem to come through for me . . .

To anybody who is getting (already shipped) or got one from Knifecenter could you please tell me when you ordered?
March 23, I thought I was late - Got a confirmation email Thursday, it's on it's way!

I agree, those folks over there have a solid Customer Service system down. Gotta love these awesome companies that have not lost that personal service experience.

All we need now is an Orange and Digicamo Manix2 for a complete Spyderco G10 color set.

Blade steels? Who knows. :D

I'm awfully on the fence about this one. Intrigued, and quite a bit so, because it seems like a really nice knife, new steel, new lock type for me etc. On the other hand, I already have one Manix in foliage green, the C95, and it is such a versatile and wonderful tool.. can the new one do something it can't?

Worst part of all, I have some spending money at hand and I can't make up my mind. I'm really itching for a new Spyderco and can't decide which one to get.

Such a difficult life. :D

Frankki,

The Manix 2 is quite a bit smaller than even the C95. In addition, it's got a new lock, liners that integrate the jimping, and a new steel. It should feel quite a bit different from the original Manix line.

Yeah, that's the tough part. On one hand, I think the Manix 2 is a bit small and I'm really looking forward to the larger version. Then again, I love the idea of even more jimping, new great blade steel and somewhat easier carry. Deciding will not be easy. :)
