I don't understand hemp wrap, is it dipped in something to keep it from soaking up smelly juices?

Sizzler, the hemp fibres are treated with superglue, or some resin so that its much like a sculpted mycarta thats added after the knife is done. Two makers I really respect do work that has that kinda details, Rick and John Cohea. Cohea uses a lot of rawhide.

Rick, what kinda sheath are you thinking? I assume you wanna do the sheath.

Holly cripes!! I had never seen John's work before today.... he does that little scroll thingy on everything. This is freaking me out. I know Daniel Winkler has a style I admire... however, this guy is me .... BUT REALLY GOOD!!

Damn you Andy... damn this subforum...

I have to email Mr Cohea now.....
