Can it be done?

Knowing that I am a knife maker, an engineer I work with (in his mid seventies) insisted that I look at his little Boker folder. He purchased the knife when he started work at a mine in Ontario in 1957, and has carried it every day since then. I have never been able to carry anything for more than a few weeks before loosing it.

Caried a Swisschamp for about 12 years until I decided to try other SAK's. It still rides in a backpack, suitcase, car, whatever wherever I go......it's never to far from me.

I carried an old Gerber lock-back folder for over 10 yrs. It didn't have a pocket clip & most of the time I had an Emerson CQC7 clipped inside my other pocket.

I have since gave the knife to a cousin & in the last couple years, just can not keep just ONE knife in my pocket all the time.

After years of rotating one hand openers (for there superior blade steel) while carrying a SAK Explorer and a LM Crunch, I have now solely carried a LM Charge Ti for the past 2+ years. The only things I miss are the magnifying glass and Victorinox's superior can opener, so an explorer stays in my briefcase. With the Ti's pocket clip and lightness I even carry it when wearing a suit and it is completely unobtrusive.

Of course I continue to buy other knives but I just can't bring myself to carry them more than around the house.

Tim LM has come the closest to perfection with this one I think. (although I did customize mine with ivory handle scales to make it prettier)

when I was young I didnt really carry knives daily, more a thing for when i went caming or into the woods. Ive only recently started carrying daily (maybe about two years. Ive carried a small buck, a kershaw chive and recently have stuck to bm 710 which i basically carry daily and sometime carry a mini skirmish for a change. also carry a spyderco jester on my keys and have a swiss tool in mypack.

The 710 will most likely be my edc for a long time to come--it ust has character and is a pleasure to use.
