There are only four companies I will buy from without first handling the purchase. GEC, CSC, Queen & any Case/Tony Bose collaboration. I realize this may not be an option for some but I trust these companies warranty process 'if' something is not to my expectations. I guess bottom line, you take a risk when making purchases sight unseen & hopefully (like CSC) the company stands behind their product.

Charlie? While I respect & agree with your thoughts here, and LOVE seeing the knives you post, but with all due respect sir, I would like to see this thread to the end. I would like to hear the OP's thoughts on his knife when it gets returned.
Besides, I think this thread was really good for Canal Street's sales. I now want one more than ever.

This thread has gone beyond the parameters that this forum was set up for on a variety of levels, I'm sure that will come as no surprise to most.
Accordingly, it will now be closed (temporarily) since there is nothing to be gained by continuing to rehash the same content in the absence of new information.
However, when the OP receives his knife he is welcome to contact either Gus or me and we will reopen the thread to allow him to provide a thorough and honest update as to how the matter was handled and whether it was deemed satisfactory. Until then...
