Cancelling membership with Knives Emporium

It's amazing how far this rabbit hole goes. Thank you to all who hopped in the Mystery Mobile and pulled the mask off this scammers head. "And I would have gotten away with it, too, if it weren't for you meddling kids!"

But if someone called him on it, he'd probably chalk it up to a software mistake and that we just don't know all the facts and aren't giving him a chance to explain...;)

Mistake

After all has been said and done, we, at Knives Emporium apologize for all the mistrust that this incident has caused. Some of you do indeed believe that this mistake was made intentionally and for that we are truly sorry.

Since Knives Emporium opened its doors we haven’t had bad complaints of any kind; much less of being deceptive. On the contrary, we have had many good reviews of our products and timely delivery to all our customers.

We never had a dispute of any sort; these are undeniable facts as well as for the winners that received our giveaways.

For those of you who still believe in us we welcome you to stay on board.

Sincerely,
The Knives Emporium Team

That was certainly the rhetoric I received when I emailed him re his plagiarizing of my Website. Blamed it on his "Software People" claimed I had no copywrite and told me that if I wanted to make a war out of it I would regret it. I never even had to fire a shot. :sneakiness:

That's the thing. Rip someone off once and you have a real good chance of getting away with it. Keep piling up the dishonesty, and a loose thread or two starts to dangle in the face of someone not inclined to put up with the BS. That someone pulls on the loose thread, and the whole blanket of lies starts to unravel.

I won the Spyderco Southard. Seems legit to me...
im late to the party and im not sure what the hell happened but i can say i did win one of his giveaways (spyderco tuff) not sure if any other legit winners have come forward. i have no affiliation with the guy other than signing up for his mailing list when he first started doing the giveaways *shrug*

wow what a thread, besides the 10+- post prerequisite... am i really the only active veteran bladeforums member who won? lol, my first big win from a gaw too. i may have been the last person to receive a knife as i believe the hinderer xm18 christmas giveaway was next. i still have the tuff as well as a unboxing video which i never posted cause my home address was visible. for what its worth, heres the thread along with photos of the tuff that shows there was a time where his intentions were of good nature... even if im the only proof :p.

im in no way defending the guy... per the evidence, hes totally busted. smh

I can't help but notice that's the last time he announced a winner, too. Coincidence? I think not.

Do you apologize because you are truly sorry for your deception and dishonesty? or are you sorry that you've been caught at it?
The mistrust that this incident has caused is of your own doing.
You had plenty of opportunity to address the issues brought before you by your own customers, as to complaints about your deceptive business practices. You were given ample opportunity to offer explanation privately to the staff here.
Now, just as during the incident, you have been given every opportunity to offer suitable explanation for your actions. In fact you promised your customers that you would give detailed explanation for your actions:

But I just like to make it known that in the next few days, we will post up a detailed response, attempting to address most if not all of the concerns and accusations using concrete evidence if possible for those, and rightfully so who doubt our word.
Your latest "explanation" hardly addresses this matter as you yourself promised, much less addresses the concerns of your customers. In fact it is the very definition of the word "Non-pology".
I hope you understand that this hobby is not so large that this "incident" will go unnoticed. I also hope you understand that many in this small world have long memories when it comes to dishonest business practices.
If you were truly contrite and sincere, you would offer a true explanation and apology instead of spin control, the hiding of evidence and the passing of blame to others.

Your customers and potential customers will be your judge.
