I guess I can't hide. The first time I took it, all three of my highest matching cities were in Louisiana: New Orleans, Baton Rouge, and Shreveport. I guess I've been around too many out-of-town contractors on this job since my dialect has spread all the way to Mobile, Alabama!

Your map is pretty much the inverse of mine. I guess we don't talk very much alike!

The quiz was very accurate for me, as I've lived my whole life in the St. Louis area, except when in college. I got my degree from the University of Missouri at Columbia, which is smack-dab in the middle of the three cities on my map.

btb01 btb01 I remember the first time you posted this and how much fun it was so thank you for posting again Barrett.:cool:

Today is 09/11 2018 and as everyone knows the 17th anniversary of terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center Twin Towers, The Pentagon and failed attack on the White House. It was foiled by the passengers fighting back and were able to crash the plane in a field instead of our capitol.
I was sitting in my office listening to a little TV I had there we watched weather reports on to better prepare for any incoming storms when a special report came on telling about the attack. I remember I became totally infuriated at such a senseless cowardly act that took so many innocent lives. Today we look back at the day that the lives of US citizens and many others through out the world changed for ever. Many blamed all people of Middle Eastern origin and in particular those of the Muslim faith. There are 1 billion practitioners of Islam or 1/5 of the worlds population and I don't believe all of them are terrorist. Through research I found that in fact only 10% of Muslims are of Arab descent and as time has marched on since 9/11 we have saw even Americans that have been involved in terrorist acts in the name of Islam and I don't believe God is anywhere near these type acts. This means that anyone could be a terrorist even family members or neighbors. Somehow we must rid this world of these low life cowards to insure a safe world for our children such as btb01 btb01 Barrett's precious daughter Eleanor and generations to come. I for one will not forget and would like to think I would fight back if ever present in such situations.
So prayers today for those that lost loved ones in the 9/11 attacks and those that survived.
GOD BLESS AMERICA THE LAND THAT I LOVE.

Apparently Im from Pembroke Pines...sounds nice.
The pillbug/woodlouse question was interesting...in a meako sort of way.
I call them Slaters which wasn't an option.
Peenie Wallie sounds like something else altogether.

That confused me a little, wasn't sure what was being referred to at first  What was the Peenie Wallie thing? Peely Wally is a Scottish phrase

What was your question that most related to St Louis? Mine was the "cot/caught" different sound question.

Dang thing keeps putting me in the middle of North Carolina, I been away from home to long:( but I think its biased. Didn't give no option for "for" I say "fer", or holler/ hollow, yander or yonder I say both, but say yander more back home. Or chur/chair, winder as in winders '95 , far/fire:thumbsup: we start a lot of sentences with "Well" I.E. " Well I looked out my winder an' down yander in the holler I seen my brother'n'law come a'tote'n a chur, d'rectly he comes up to the house, an' I says "Why Lord Joe how fer ya been a'tote'n that chur?" He says "A right good piece, but I's a figure'n you'd like ta set it by the stove, so's ya can warm yerself by the far":D

Mine nailed it with Minneapolis and St. Paul (counted as one city). Where Aurora and Rockford came from, I have no idea.
Henry Beige Henry Beige , I know we have quite a few knives in common , but the results of this quiz for you are scary to me. The quiz placed me in Grand Rapids, MI, where I've lived for at least 40 of my almost 67 years, and the first 17 years of my life were 30 miles south of Grand Rapids.:thumbsup: But it also named the Twin Cities as another likely spot, along with Rockford IL! :confused:I tried the quiz a second time, changing a couple of responses to questions I was uncertain how to answer, and was placed in Grand Rapids, Detroit, and Aurora, IL. So, in addition to common knives, we apparently have idioms/dialects in common!
;)

On a serious note I ask who would do so pray for North Carolina and South Carolina Virginia, we're about to get hammered hard, as my boss/landlord/friends don't have anyone to help them, I've elected to ride it out with them, I live next door to them. There in there 60's and their kids live away. I'll be needed during and after, spent the evening securing things outside today. Not gonna lie I'm scared, but the Lord will carry us through. Especially with y'alls help that don't mind.

Stay safe!

I'll be thinking about all of my BF friends in the Carolinas this weekend. Please don't take storms like these lightly. Prep work goes a long way, but sometimes the safest way is to get out of dodge.

My poor aunt, who just lost her husband, is in N. Carolina. I was supposed to be there this weekend for his funeral, but with Florence looming, the services were pushed back. She's decided to stay for the storm, and I'm worried for her. She a bit more inland and "up on a hill", but I can't help but think that if my uncle were still here, they'd have evacuated. I can't fathom the fear of losing my spouse the week before a storm comes through that could take everything else.

Look out for yourselves, look out for your loved ones, but also, please, look out for your neighbors.
