"Carl's Lounge" (Off-Topic Discussion, Traditional Knife "Tales & Vignettes")

Satisfying beauty there Dwight. Can you give the Latin for them? The Dogwood we have here in grown for its blood red branches before leaf break, it has a small insignificant flower in summer but has pretty variegated leaves.

Winter still gripping here but looking forward to Forsythia turning into a bush of gold flowers.

Thanks, Will

I am fine with them taking snakes, but sometimes they take chihuahuas!
Chihauhuas not doing their job ?
Im heading in a different direction...

The Rainbow Lorikeet is the Frank Costanza of the avian world...noisy,colourful,cantankerous and will face off birds many times its size.
See the frangipani tree below? They perch in its branches. There were around 20 of them yesterday....a Hitchcockian scene.
But..
Im a branch...have a perch....im a very comfortable branch...

Just an experiment really...lets see if its a face off.

That uke looks fantastic to me Jer. Very very cool. Looking forward to the Harp quest. Wish we could hear it. Maybe you can make that happen.

On another note - After eleven years of nurturing these two dogwoods from infants this is the first year they have bloomed. I am very happy about it. View attachment 1108894View attachment 1108895
Thank you. I expect my brother in law would know how to make me e-audible.

Beautiful dogwoods.
We moved one in from our woodlot back when that was legal. It finally bloomed the year my dad told it he would cut it down if it didn't.
