Hmmm...to watch Hamlet...or not to watch Hamlet....probbly not....

Depends which production you mean. Branagh is pretty good, but gets long-winded with some endless sololoquies I didn’t even recognize. Mel Gibson was surprisingly good. The Manhattan version with Ethan Hawke was, well, different, but Diane Venora and Liev Schreiber were dynamite.

Im partial to bit of Liev Schreiber.....liked his Clarke in the Jack Ryan one with Ben Affleck of course Ray Donovan.....but alas poor Yorick if i had to pick a Hamlet...twould be the 1948 film with Olivier as the Dane.
Branagh was better as Gilderoy Lockhart in one of those HarryPotter movies...

Olivier is the greatest. Branaugh was a good Henry V.

I watched The King ....kind of the life of Henry V minus Shskespeare.....didnt mind it at all....aussie Joel Edgerton as Falstaff was outstanding....and that psycho out of Harry Brown...Sean Harris ..he is a great actor.

Olivier must have been dynamite on stage. I thought he was rather stagey on screen. There might be some sour grapes there for someone so generally acknowledged to be the greatest, of course.
I think Branagh was working on that attempt to film all of Shakespeare's complete texts, never mind whether the audiences could be home in time for breakfast. I liked his Henry V, and Much Ado about Nothing.
Peter Ustinov had a funny story about Olivier in Spartacus.

Imperial/ R Co/ Germany; Western/ Boulder Colo; Camillus/ American/[Made(?)]; Wm Elliot & Co/Germany.
The Elliot is straighter than it looks. I'm going to clamp the thing together and peen the pin over the liner, then dam the end with masking tape and pour a faux bolster of colored epoxy.
The Camillus I'll probably sharpen and leave otherwise alone, though I'll lower the point if it snags.

So far so good with the Wm Elliot:

I started by squeezing the liners in a hand vise and hitting the pin with a tiny riveting hammer. (Hitting it with the tiny hammer sometimes.) I ended up squeezing the the pin in a smooth-jawed bench vise.

Thought I should drop by and say hello I thought my music life was over when I was injured and then got so sick especially now that I live in a wheelchair but come to find out there's a lot of folks wanting me for session work. So I have put the knives aside and I'm back in my element and it's changed my life around and given me purpose again. I'm currently working on two studio albums one with a singer songwriter the other with a group put together to make this CD. I also have another project coming up so life is good. In don't how long this will last but I'm going to enjoy it while it's here. I do have so many wonderful friends here I will always pop in to say hello and I'll still be coming around often to check in.

And the Nationals are still USA's World Series Champs.

Are Astros fans still triggered as they approach or walk into Walgreens? Or has the shock finally subsided?

Great to see you, Randy. I'm happy for you. Good luck with the albums, and God bless!

Us old farts don't get "triggered"--that's young folks' lingo, man! Good sportsmanship is important.

While I was hoping for a different outcome, the Nats did a great job. I congratulate them.

Yeah, old farts call it PTSD or pushing buttons.

FYI, I'm just as much an old fart as you, and I often see our peers triggered and/or use the term.
