May Santer Clause bring you more than expected, and some coal to feed the fire place. ;)

Too bad Venice can't export their floods. Scary stuff.

I probably told you about Grampa's glory days uke. It's a Martin, must have been a pre-depression purchase.

Anyway, I got some new Grover pegs for it:

(And a new extra-padded gig bag. The old corduroy one is pretty worn.)

What a treasure, Jer! My grandad, born in 1898 in Hungary, played the mandolin. I have no idea which one of my cousins ended up with it after he passed. I do wish it had been me!

Thank you.
This was always on top of the piano in the front room of the old house, but I'd forgotten all about it. It got a lot of use in its day, judging by the wear on the old pegs and on the gig bag.

Love me some oysters!
I was in charge of dinner today. Came out pretty good if I do say so.

Looking very tasty Gary, we had our standard fare of standing rib roast for Christmas Eve, with a roasted turkey chaser on Christmas Day....

We had a Christmas Eve gathering that was my wifes doing. She makes the best Chicken Parmesan I've ever had and always goes overboard when she hosts. No seven fishes this year though. We didn't get to the seafood market in time.
The Christmas day gathering was smaller, and I was told it was my problem.
I put a standing rib roast in the oven and roasted it to my liking!:D Seemed fair to me!
