Very cool Lizard Lookout:cool: Bet he can scale the wall faster than you, even though you're a former Firey :D

Old cemeteries are cool places! Especially with crows, ravens and their kin!!
:D

Yes indeed, the old one in Sheffield was vast and wild, and a fascinating place to visit as a kid

Reminds me of Edgar Allan Poe's grave in Baltimore.

I was actually minded of Poe when I took the photo Vince

The small church, that I pastored prior to retirement, operated the large community cemetery for the last 150 (or so) years. I had far more pastoral problems from that cemetery than I did from my congregation. A problem every Spring was that people didn't understand that rain both made the grass grow fast and interfered with mowing the grass and trimming around monuments. I had a woman who hired a lawyer because her plot looked bigger in her daughter's photograph than it did in reality (she didn't understand the phenomenon of parallax in photos.) Just a couple of examples.

Well crud, so it begins. Just received the email that a co-worker tested positive:thumbsdown: Allegedly they say the other 60 people who work in the same facility, use the same doors, bathrooms, lunchroom, etc... should not have been exposed. But they won’t tell us who it is. I’d really like to make up my own mind if I felt I was around them long enough to be concerned. We do all have our own offices and there are a few different hallways, but there’s enough common space that it is virtually impossible not to come in contact with either that person or someone else they were in contact with. :poop::poop::poop::poop::poop::poop::poop::poop::poop::poop::poop::poop::poop::poop::poop::poop::poop::poop::poop::poop::poop::poop::poop::poop::poop::poop::poop::poop::poop::poop::poop::poop::poop::poop::poop::poop::poop::poop::poop::poop::poop::poop:

I've heard of him. And I recognized it. Best work of the greatest poet.
I'll level with ya PJ...I had to look it up...but somehow I knew that the original source wasnt from the Max Headroom movie 20 Minutes Into The Future.

I guarantee I will remember those words the first time I cook with it...
The question is, will it make dish more or less appetizing?
I played a zombafied version of Roger Moore in a play called Brains!...we couldnt work out a method of making faux brains to eat so we just kind of mimed it...
Sorry if I put you off your brai..i mean food...:)

I'm a frustrated actor [lawyer], Jon. ;)
You should look into community theatre...you work for nothing so that might be a bit of culture shock for a legal eagle...its mainly young gay men and sheilas...which leaves a massive gap that can only seriously be filled by straight old guys like us...jokes aside it revives the soul to perform on stage...so many layers come together behind the scenes...The big guy Ricky in that brains promo pic has Downes Syndrome...it was a very good experience working on that and helping him along...His dad tried to reassemble the cast for a repeat...he wrote a sequel !..god knows but we had all flown away by then....
My tip : stay away from courtroom dramas.;):p.
Id love to do Shakespeare...proper not modernised.

FYI - Here is a COVID-19 discussion that tells you what is real and what ain't. Long listen - and, as I've said on another thread - I expected to blow it off after 10 minutes. Rather, I was drawn in for the entire 1-1/2 hours, fascinating and informative all the way through - just 2 guys talking but what they had to say...

Stay safe my brothers & sisters.

It’s strange how ominous Poe can appear yet to me he is the epitome of a carefree childhood. There is a park with his small home on the Grand Concourse in the Bronx, NY across the street from where my grandparents lived so I always associated him with good times.

Blimey! I imagine you're glad to have retired ;)

In the 1980's Sheffield City Council decided they were going to dig up two thirds of the old General Cemetery, and grass it over. There were a huge number of objections, and it was even debated in the national press. Having ripped up the old graves and monuments, things turned farcical when the council sowed the wrong kind of seeds, and were visited with a plague of cabbages!

Ray, thanks for sharing the link! Accurate information is a necessity in these days and times and this podcast was not only informative but it held my attention for the entire show. It was the most enlightening program on Covid-19 I've seen to date.
I've already shared the link with two other people and I'm hoping everyone who sees your post will CHECK IT OUT.
Thanks again, have a good day and stay healthy, -James
