"Carl's Lounge" (Off-Topic Discussion, Traditional Knife "Tales & Vignettes")

This Sunday, November 7th.
I just hope they got the trapping dates right. I'd hate to have to release all my captive beavers.

All plastic is cheap and should therefore be inexpensive!
However, This sheath may be almost as nice as anything I might have cobbled together out of bits of briefcase and pond-liner.

No fears about retention. I%27m more likely to be dragged to death than to lose the knife.

I built a fence today. What a PIA it was. Dead tired but kinda proud. Knife came into play a lot :)
Ummm...it goes faster if you use a saw instead of a knife....Just sayin'.

Seriously, that is a fine looking fence. My wife does not let me build fences anymore. Mine are functional, but anymore she has this expectation that they will be straight, so I have to hire a fella to do it.

Those are my neighbor's Eucalyptus Trees.
Every year they drop branches and smash his fence.
You'd think he'd get tired of fixing his fence every year. 🤣
Yeah, that cycle sounds less than ideal!
Thanks for the tree info. I thought the trees looked unfamiliar to me (although I'm not a tree ID expert by any means), and now I know why; not many Eucalyptus trees where I live.

I don't doubt that playing in the NFL is stressful.
It just seems that if you can't take it, both mentally and physically, you should probably find another line of work.
But I'm probably in the minority as it seems society is changing rapidly...
Its not working down a coal mine or leading a section attack after 4 months in the field with no sleep and low on ammo though.

Earning all that money running around chasing a ball,I could live with that stress.
Especially if you play for the Detroit Lions. I mean, nobody expects you to win, or accomplish anything really, so you could be laid back, collect your paycheck, and not take the whole thing too seriously jkam.gif

+1...but I'm the same age you are, more of less, so we're both probably in a minority.

Exactly.
