Agreed. But you'll notice that the film lacks a lot of attractive females. You sort of have to be satisfied with staring at Morgan Freeman and thinking "This film could use some attractive females."

All the suggestions so far have been for very good movies - excellent movies, even. But if any of those are what you're suggesting as "Best Western" I'm going to have to assume you've never seen The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly. Because that is pretty clearly the best western (and one of the best films of any genre).

Very cool! Too bad we don't have at least 21 months in each year!
I slept right through it (in bed before 8:30pm last night).
I didn't even see it coming (although I did remark to a campus safety officer yesterday when I returned a classroom key I had "checked out" for the semester that the date of return he wrote down - 12/21/21 - had a lot of Aces and Deuces in it).

(If anyone is counting votes for "Best Western", put me down for Little Big Man and True Grit. And if there's a Western Musical division, I'll vote for Paint Your Wagon.)

A recent Western that was really good is Hostiles with Christian Bale and Wes Studi. The Magnificent Seven is another classic.

Its good they make different things Despite being a huge Eastwood fan, that one doesn't even make my top 5. Never been a big fan of the spaghetti westerns.

And if there's a Western Musical division, I'll vote for Paint Your Wagon.)

How about the Lonesome Dove miniseries? Wouldn’t say it’s my all time favorite, but I enjoyed it a lot and it did have Robert Duvall in it who is one of my favorite actors. Really like Open Range also.
